With Super Mario 64 DS coming to the North American Wii U Virtual Console today, GameXplain has taken a look at the download. Watch over 45 minutes of footage below.

A new PixelMaker update can now be downloaded for Wii U in Europe. For those in North America, it should be ready to go tomorrow.

Here’s what the update entails:

– Exporting of PNG images to SD card.
– Six new fonts for adding text.
– Scaling and outlining of inserted text.
– Option to hide the user interface.
– Left-to-right interface flip for left-handed users.
– Option to scale TV image to full display size.
– Selection and use of colors from image that are not in the palette.
– Text entry of color RGB values.
– Auto-sizing of color palette to fit available space.

Nostatic Software has plans to bring PixelMaker to 3DS soon, but there’s no release date just yet.

We got a small look at the North American SteamWorld Collection boxart when Image & Form confirmed the package for North America a couple of weeks ago, but now we have a better (and full-sized) look. See the image above.

If you have a 3DS, it’s now possible to download a demo for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice. The download features a section from the first courtroom battle between Phoenix Wright and his new adversary, royal priestess Rayfa, in the foreign Kingdom of Khura’in. It takes up 890 blocks, or 111.25MB.

At Gamescom last week, IGN spoke with Splatoon producer Hisashi Nogami and Nintendo EPD general manager Katsuya Eguchi.

The Wii U shooter has been a big success having sold well over four million units. On the topic of its success, Nogami said:

“It felt like it has been a while since we created a brand new franchise. We’re really happy with the response to Splatoon and with the amount of fans who are supporting it.”

Speaking of popularity, the Squid Sisters Callie and Marie have really taken off. The two characters even ended up receiving their own amiibo and closed out Splatoon’s final Splatfest, which weren’t originally planned.

In celebration of the new Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice demo on the eShop, Capcom has published an 8-minute prologue video. It shows the events that are set just before the game, as rumblings of a legal revolution in Kingdom of Khura’in begin and Phoenix receiving a mysterious phone call while taking on a trial in the United States.

On Play-Asia, there’s a pre-order deadline of September 18. You’ll need to reserve it by July 21 on Good Smile.

From the popular ‘Kirby’ game series comes a Nendoroid of Meta Knight! Just like the previously released Nendoroid Kirby, Meta Knight makes use of magnets for posing, making his movements smooth and easy to place in all sorts of different positions!

He also comes with a selection of optional parts including his sword together with large effect parts to display him slashing with the sword. You can also display him wearing his cape as well as transformed into his flying version with interchangeable wing parts! He even comes with parts that allow you to change the direction he is looking allowing for all sorts of awesome Meta Knight poses!

The Meta Knight Nendoroid will ship in March.
