Hollow Knight is confirmed to be coming to Wii U having reached a new stretch goal on Kickstarter. The campaign manage to reach $50,000 in funding (combined with PayPal donations) with less than a day remaining.

Hollow Knight is a 2D action adventure game that takes place in “a sprawling, interconnected world.” Here’s an overview for the project:

As the enigmatic Hollow Knight, players will journey through the depths of Hallownest, a vast and ancient kingdom buried deep underground. Though long fallen to ruin after a dimly-remembered catastrophe, explorers and thieves still brave its dark roads, its caverns and towers, searching for riches and wonders.

Lately though, something has changed. Villagers and explorers venturing into the caverns have stopped returning. The caverns throb and tremble with a savage energy. A sweet and sickly poison is drifting through the hollows, sending creatures mad with rage and robbing explorers of their memories.

Your goal as the Hollow Knight is to explore this deep and complex kingdom, finding your own way through the dark caverns as you attempt to solve an ancient mystery. The way forward is not always clear, and deadly creatures will hunt you relentlessly, but as you press on, discovering new paths and shortcuts, and finding powerful new weapons and abilities, the kingdom of Hallownest will open up to you and eventually you will conquer it.

Vblank Entertainment added a new post to its site today that examines the sales of Retro City Rampage.

While Wii makes up a tiny fraction of the game’s sales, the 3DS version appears to have done quite well. Vblank says this edition “has the healthiest tail of all platforms.” Retro City Rampage continues to move units on 3DS despite never having received a price drop.

Here are Vblank’s full comments about the title’s sales on 3DS:

Nintendo 3DS has the healthiest tail of all platforms. Released nearly 10 months ago, it has never been discounted and still boasts a strong weekly tail. It was a great fit for the platform and market and received great promotion from Nintendo at launch. RCR released on 3DS 15 months later, but had it been released simultaneously with the others it’s possible that it could be the best selling out of all eight platforms. Again, this would vary widely on the type of game, but RCR was a perfect match for 3DS.
