The upcoming release of the first generation of Pokemon games on the 3DS Virtual Console is highly anticipated by tons of people. The Japanese digital manual for these games is now online and has revealed some interesting tidbits about these versions.

Interestingly, Pokemon Red, Blue, Green (Japan-only) and Yellow don’t support the Virtual Console’s “restore points” feature. In case you didn’t know, this feature lets you create a save point at any time and load it whenever you wish, regardless of any in-game save features or restrictions. This is a pretty convenient feature since saving your game is usually fairly restrictive in older games. One can only speculate why this feature won’t be available in the Pokemon games, however it seems likely that it is in place to essentially prevent the cloning of Pokemon. When you trade Pokemon the game automatically saves to prevent any shenanigans – with restore points, this could’ve easily been circumvented.

It’s Tuesday, which means that Pokemon Shuffle has once again been updated with new content.

First of all, new main stages have been added, starting with #261, Aron, going all the way up to #300, Mega Rayquaza. This is the first time that so many main stages have been added at once. These stages will unlock for you once you beat stage #260, Deoxys.

Next, Zekrom has been added as a special stage. You have until February 2nd to catch this powerful Pokemon.

Finally, you can once again enter the Safari Zone. This is a repeat run that contains Carvanha, Sharpedo, Cherubi, Cherrim and Spinda. If you missed your chance the first time this Safari Zone was available, you now have another shot at getting those Pokemon. This special stage will be available until February 2nd.

More:

You may remember Rynn’s Adventure: Trouble in the Enchanted Forest, an indie platformer we brought up last April. It was planned for launch in Fall 2015 at the time, but those plans changed as we all now know.

Development on Rynn’s Adventure: Trouble in the Enchanted Forest is now complete. At the moment, Arcane Four Studios is working on certification to bring it to Wii U and Xbox One. The 3DS version will follow at a later date.

Watch a new trailer for Rynn’s Adventure: Trouble in the Enchanted Forest below.
