Yes, big Splatoon 2 news really has been teased for June 9 – plus a new clue

Earlier in the week, news leaked out of a Japanese magazine that big Splatoon news is planned for June 9. Not much was known at the time aside from the fact that the reveal will supposedly “shock the world”.
The situation took a strange turn yesterday. We won’t really get into it here, but a Spanish site obtained a comment from Nintendo in which the company called the original speculation “a baseless rumor.”

The latest issue of Weekly Jump announced the Nintendo Classic Mini Famicom Weekly Shonen Jump 50th Anniversary Edition for Japan. Since the initial news leaked out of the magazine, a full scan from the magazine has emerged.
Monster Hunter movie going into production in September, starring Milla Jovovich

Variety has managed to obtain some new details about the Monster Hunter movie, which was first announced in 2016.
According to the site, production will start in September. Milla Jovovich will be starring in the film. Paul W. S. Anderson (Resident Evil films) will be directing while Jeremy Bolt is serving as producer. Anderson will be writing as well.

After it was teased last week, pre-orders for the Zelda: Twilight Princess True Form Midna statue have gone live.
Similar to past First 4 Figures offerings, a few different options are up for grabs. Regular, exclusive, and definitive editions are all live on the company’s website.

We’ve known about the Mega Man animated series as early as 2015. Yet over the past few years, there has been relatively little information shared about the show.
We do have a slight update from the latest issue of Licensing Source Book Europe. A small blurb is present in the magazine, which shows a new name of “Mega Man: Fully Charged”. It’s expected to appear at this year’s licensing expo between May 22 and May 24. Along with the show on Cartoon Network, Jakks Pacific will apparently be making a toyline.

Devolver Digital and Megacat Studios have teamed up on a brand new SNES game, Fork Parker’s Crunch Out. All of Devolver Digital’s profits will benefit the Take This organization, a nonprofit charity dedicated to informing the gaming community about mental health issues, providing education and services within the industry and tackling mental illness prevention.

Nintendo updates warranty terms following FTC warning

The FTC recently issued a warning to Nintendo and a few other companies regarding their handling of warranties. In response, the Big N complied and has changed the language in its terms.

Mario had a series of different cartoons way back in the day. The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario World all ran on television in the late ’80s and early ’90s.
Phil Harnage was directly involved with the different cartoons. As a writer, he played a prominent role in determining how the different episodes would play out.
