Target stores estimated to have 10 Shovel Knight amiibo per store, 4,000 online

While the Shovel Knight amiibo is already out in most European territories, it won’t be until January that fans in North American can purchase the figure. An employee speaking on Reddit gives us an idea about what to expect from Target’s stock.
In stores, there will be an average of 10 Shovel Knight units. However, there could be as few as 2 on the low side, and 12-16 on the high side. It’s also expected that about 4,000 amiibo will be available online as well.
Animal Crossing amiibo cards series 3 heading to Japan on January 14

The third wave of Animal Crossing amiibo cards are reaching Japan on January 14, Nintendo announced today. Pricing is set at 324 yen per pack. You can get a look at many of the different cards featured in the upcoming series here.

Video shows id Software’s 25-year-old Super Mario Bros. 3 demo for PC

During id Software’s very early days, a demo was created for Super Mario Bros. 3. This wasn’t an ordinary demo, however, as it was actually running on a PC.
id Software originally created “Dangerous Dave In Copyright Infringement”, a recreation of World 1-1 featuring characters from John Romero’s Dangerous Dave. The Super Mario Bros. 3 demo was based on this. Nintendo was presented with it, but didn’t sign off on the project since they wanted to keep Mario on its own systems.
25 years later, a video showing the Super Mario Bros. 3 PC demo was shared by Romero on Vimeo today – watch it below. It’s a neat little piece of gaming history!

Amazon Germany are now taking pre-orders for the next round of Animal Crossing amiibo. Reserve Resetti, Celeste, Kicks, Blathers through this link.
For those looking to pre-order from a U.S. retailer, reservations probably won’t be going up until January.

Agatsuma Entertainment, developer of Code of Princess and Yumi’s Odd Odyssey, is shutting down. The company has been dissolved as of today. Additionally, Agatsuma will be seeing liquidation on March 31.
