Labyrinth of Zangetsu English

Original (8/16): According to various retailer listings, Labyrinth of Zangetsu will be receiving an English release in the west. PQube will be localizing the game and it will launch in North America and Europe in Q1 2023.

Labyrinth of Zangetsu was first announced for Switch in January 2021. The game will make its debut this September in Japan. 

A Plague Tale: Requiem gameplay overview trailer

With Gamescom 2022 taking place next week, A Plague Tale: Requiem has received a new gameplay overview trailer ahead of the show.

The title will have a playable demo at the expo between August 24 and August 28. On top of that, Focus Entertainment will kick off its “In Focus” behind-the-scenes video series on August 30 to present the making of the title.

Nintendo intends to make the Switch box size smaller by 20 percent, the company has confirmed.

The change will take place starting with production this month, and is targeted at the original model that first launched in 2017. In doing so, Nintendo hopes to improve transportation efficiency and increase supply for the year-end sales season, just in time for the holidays. Nintendo will also be taking advantage more of air freight.

With Nintendo reducing the size of the Switch box, packaging materials will also be cut down by 15 percent. The move also aims to appeal to consumers who are highly conscious of preserving the environment.

As part of the Pokemon World Championships 2022, a new Victini event code has been made available for Pokemon Sword and Shield.

The creature comes in at level 50 and has the moves V-create, Zen Headbutt, Work Up, and Flame Charge. Its ability, Victory Star, boosts accuracy for itself and other Pokemon by 10%.

With Tokyo Game Show just around the corner, Koei Tecmo have announced that they will be exhibiting at the show this year and have opened a new website, which you can check out here.

The company have published several games on Nintendo platforms over the years, and recently they revealed that Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes has surpassed 1 million units sold worldwide.

The Pokemon Company have revealed a new stage for Pokemon Unite, the Theia Blue Sky Ruins. Further details are expected to be announced in the future, but the stage appears to be focused around Rayquaza, which can be seen in the centre of the stage in the trailer below:

In celebration of the upcoming third anniversary of Pokemon Masters EX, Ash and Pikachu will be made available as a sync pair in the game, The Pokemon Company have announced. The event will start from 15:00 JST on August 28 and run until 14:59 on October 17 JST.

You might recall that a few months ago, Embracer Group made headlines by acquiring several development studios and IPs previously owned by Square Enix. Well it seems they weren’t done, as they’ve gone on somewhat of a new acquisition spree.

On the gaming side, Embracer Group has announced that they are acquiring Limited Run Games, Singtrix, Tuxedo Labs, Tripwire Interactive, Tatsujin (notable because foreign studios rarely purchase Japanese companies), Bitwave Games, Gioteck and another as-of-yet undisclosed PC/Console gaming company. Additionally, they are also acquiring Middle-earth Enterprises, a company which owns most of rights in the Lord of the Rings universe when it comes to movies, video games, board games, merchandising, theme parks and stage productions.

Hatsune Miku Project Diva Mega Mix DLC Bundle 3

SEGA has announced that it will be releasing DLC Bundle 3 for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Mega Mix on Switch next week. It will be available on August 24, 2022.

A massive amount of content is included here. 72 playable tracks will be added for a total of 250 songs, including Dreaming Leaf, Far Away, Innocence, Iroha Uta, and much more.

SEGA says that the DLC Bundle 3 for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Mega Mix will take up 20GB of space on your internal storage or SD card. Keep that in mind before the new content drops next week.
