Splatoon 3 Side Order release date

A final release date has just been announced for the Splatoon 3 Side Order DLC. Players will be able to get their hands on it starting February 22, 2024.

Side Order, a brand new single-player campaign, lets players control Agent 8 as they wake up to discover Inkopolis Square has been drained of color and its residents are missing. The goal is to fight off waves of enemies in floor after floor of challenges while climbing the Spire of Order and learning its secrets. A new feature this time around is the color chips to boost abilities.

Steel Diver Sub Wars online play shutdown

3DS and Wii U online play will still be supported for a few more months, but not for Steel Diver: Sub Wars.

In a notice posted on its website, Nintendo explained that the game has already gone offline. That feature has actually been unavailable for a number of months now. Nintendo conducted emergency maintenance starting on September 4, 2023, but hasn’t able to get things back up and running. That means online play is finished for Steel Divers: Sub Wars and the game has been discontinued.

Zelda Splatoon 3 concerts

Two new Nintendo concerts will air online next month, the company announced today. Fans will be able to watch performances for The Legend of Zelda and Splatoon 3 Deep Cut on February 9 and February 10 respectively.

Both were originally planned for Nintendo Live 2024 in Japan. However, the Tokyo event was cancelled last month due to threats. Along with Nintendo Live, the plug was also pulled on the Splatoon Koshien 2023 finals, Splatoon 3 World Championship 2024, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Online Challenge Finals, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe World Championships 2024. As for the Zelda Orchestra and Splatoon 3 Deep Cut concerts, they will be posted on Nintendo’s YouTube channel. We don’t have an exact time yet for Splatoon, but both should be showing up here.

Rainbow Island will be arriving as the next Arcade Archives game for Switch, Hamster has confirmed. It’ll be launching on January 25, 2024.

Pokemon Unite Magikarp, Gyarados

December 31: Magikarp and Gyarados will be added to Pokemon Unite as the next playable characters, it’s been announced.

True to the Pokemon’s moveset, Magikarp will use Splash. We don’t have all of the details yet, but as a gauge fills up, it will evolve into Gyarados. More information should follow closer to release.

Splatoon 3 update 6.1.0

Another new Splatoon 3 update is set for imminent release with version 6.1.0.

Nintendo is largely focusing on multiplayer tweaks. Main weapons and special weapons have received various adjustments, though there are plenty of bug fixes as well. Players can expect the next update at the end of the current season which focuses on weapon balance adjustments and added features for the new season.

Smash Bros Ultimate 13 Sentinels, Hades, Power Pros spirits

Nintendo has announced another new Spirit Board event for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate featuring 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Hades, and Power Pros. These three games will be represented this coming week.

You can defeat these spirits to add them to your collection. Additionally, you’ll earn more SP than usual from taking them down.

UDO

UDO, otherwise known as Unidentified Drilling Object, has been announced for release on Switch next week. It’s due out on February 1, 2024.

UDO is an arcade down-scroller roguelike developed by Blue Firefly Studio, though Flux Games will be handling publishing duties. Learn more in the following overview:
