With the continued holiday period this week, Nintendo doesn’t have much in the way of maintenance going on. In fact, there’s nothing scheduled for this coming week currently. The only session planned is actually for next week, involving distribution of update data for Switch.

Undying

The zombie survival game Undying will be put on Switch, developer Vanimals has confirmed. A release is planned for late 2020.

Here’s an overview of Undying, along with a trailer:

Boktai: The Sun Is in Your Hand has an original mechanic that goes beyond the actual gameplay. Through a light sensor included with the cartridge, players are able to charge up solar weapons by going outside.

Hideo Kojima of Metal Gear fame was behind Boktai, and he actually had ever greater ambitions for the GBA title. Had he been able to follow through with his vision, it would have shipped with a sensor measuring how your breath smelled.

Marchen Forest: Mylne and the Forest Gift Complete Edition has been delayed, and will now release in 2020. A more specific release window was not provided.

On Twitter, developer Primary Orbit explained that the game was pushed back “based on the idea that there is room for further quality improvements”. It further said that the project “is not a simple port, we’re working hard to deliver a significantly evolved game.” Due to voice actor Yuzu Hinase being on a work hiatus, Mylne and Rozalina will be played by new talent.
