Just a few short days ago, Nintendo officially announced the release date for the new Sora amiibo. And according to a recent datamine of Splatoon 3, they’re not done with new figures just yet.

A thread from ashbinary_ on Twitter goes in-depth on Splatoon 3’s resource table, which contains references to content not currently available in-game. This includes new weapon kits, unreleased stages, and unreleased sets of gear. Two of those unreleased gear sets have the amiibo brand, which implies that Nintendo is planning to release at least two more new amiibo figures for Splatoon 3.
