Super Mario RPG developer Unity

Just a few days before launch, new information has surfaced for Super Mario RPG, including the developer behind the project and the engine that was used.

Square Enix was the developer for original game on the SNES. For the remake on Switch though, it’s been a bit of a question mark as to who’s actually behind the project. Now that pre-loading has started, we have a bit of insight.

Resistor

Original (6/10): Today, publisher PQube and developer Long Way Home unveiled Resistor. It will be available on Switch in the future.

Resistor is a narrative-driven adventure RPG with an open-world, stunt-infused racing, and vehicular combat. You can learn more about it in the following overview:

Whisker Waters physical

Whisker Waters was previously announced for Switch, but we now have confirmation that it will have a physical release at retail.

Maximum Entertainment, Merge Games, and Underbite will be working together on the boxed editions. As of now no special editions have been announced.

Hogwarts Legacy gameplay

We finally have a proper look at the Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy with several minutes of gameplay that surfaced just a few days before launch.

Even though we’ve known that the title would be on Nintendo’s console for about a year, Warner Bros. has shown almost nothing from the Switch version. Some screenshots were shared as part of the eShop listing and a trailer was published yesterday – though the latter didn’t show any sort of gameplay.

Original (8/23): Nightdive Studios have announced that they will be bringing a remastered version of Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion to Switch this year. The game is expected to be released on November 14, and will include achievements and gyro and motion controls, as well as fully remastered visuals. The game was originally released on Nintendo 64 back in 2000.

Here’s an overview of the game and a trailer, courtesy of Nightdive Studios:

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe vinyl sticker sheet #2

A second Mario Kart 8 Deluxe vinyl sticker sheet has been added on My Nintendo to close out this week. This goes along with the latest DLC for the game, which ends the Booster Course Pass.

The sheet can be used to decorate a laptop, windows, and more. It measures 8.5’’ x 11’’. Luigi, Daisy, Yoshi, and several items are included on the sheet.

Zelda movie Shigeru Miyamoto

Shigeru Miyamoto has commented further on the recently-announced live-action movie based on The Legend of Zelda. This comes as part of a Q&A session that took place during Nintendo’s financial results briefing this week.

Miyamoto previously indicated that the project has been in the works for many years, but he has since clarified that he’s been talking with Avi Arad for about ten years. He also spoke about taking the proper time to create something Nintendo is satisfied with.

Microids have shared a launch trailer for UFO Robot Grendizer: The Feast of the Wolves, ahead of the game’s launch on Switch next week. The game is set to release on November 14 both physically and digitally via the eShop.
