Qureate, along with Ixill, today unveiled Sentimental Death Loop. The game is due out for Switch on July 6, 2023.

Today, Limited Run Games announced a physical version for Hyper Gunsport on Switch. The company is teaming up with Hitcents and Necrosoft Games.
This is one of Limited Run Games’ releases that only has a standard version. There are no current plans for a special edition.
Ghost Trick creator says sequel “would be difficult”, but not ruling out the possibility

Could Capcom make a sequel to Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective one day? Shu Takumi, the game’s creator (who’s also behind the Ace Attorney series), isn’t committed to the idea, but isn’t ruling out the possibility either.
Game Informer recently asked Takumi straight up about sequel chances. He responded by saying “it would be difficult” given how the story is told in one complete game, but “the powers of the dead that this game introduces may hold some possibility.”

Sonic the Hedgehog spinoff series Knuckles first plot tidbits, casting news

Original (4/17): New details have surfaced about the live-action Knuckles series based on the recent Sonic the Hedgehog movies, including a couple of plot tidbits and the cast. Production has now kicked off in London.
Variety reports that the show is set between the events of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3. The site adds that Knuckles “agrees to train Wade as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior.”

First-person action roguelike Barony seeing release on Switch

Today, Turning Wheel announced that it’s bringing Barony to Switch. It will be available on August 1, 2023.
Barony is a first-person action roguelike Barony. When it launches on Switch, it’ll support cross-platform multiplayer with Steam and Epic Games Store on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Ultimate Chicken Horse update out now (version 1.10.06), patch notes

Clever Endeavour Games isn’t done with Ultimate Chicken Horse, as the studio just issued a new version 1.10.06 update for the game.
Several server issues have been addressed stemming from the Shellebration Update. The team also changed how voting works on community-made custom levels and added a new song to the soundtrack. Some other small changes are also included.

Original (5/22): Everdream Valley is one step closer to its release date on Switch with Mooneaters, Untold Tales and Varsav Game Studios confirming that this version will launch in June. More specific timing will follow soon.

Sonic Superstars using same physics as Sonic Mania

Sonic Superstars fans will be happy to hear that SEGA has brought over the physics from Sonic Mania and translated them into modern 3D.
That news comes from Christian Whitehead, the director of Sonic Mania. He was responding to a tweet comparing the physics from that release and the upcoming Sonic Superstars.

Dead Cells getting an animated series

It’s been announced that an animated series for Dead Cells is in production, with Evil Empire and Motion Twin teaming up with Bobbypills. Fans can expect its debut in 2024.
The show will premiere on ADN, which will also co-produce the show. There are plans for ten, seven-minute long episodes that will initially be exclusive to France before rolling out worldwide.
