Nintendo tends to put up new eShop games in Japan on Wednesdays. But today, a special surprise was added to the Virtual Console.

New 3DS owners can now purchase Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. Those who are interested can pick up the classic game for 926 yen.

Capcom has the third development blog up for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice. The new one can be read here.

Today’s piece involves talk about visual design, special effects, and more. You’ll hear from the likes of UI designer Reiko Nakano and Chieko Akizuki, lead effects artist.

Kingdom’s Item Shop has received a release date for the European eShop through its eShop listing. You’ll be able to download it to your 3DS on September 8th.

If you have a 3DS, it’s now possible to download a demo for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice. The download features a section from the first courtroom battle between Phoenix Wright and his new adversary, royal priestess Rayfa, in the foreign Kingdom of Khura’in. It takes up 890 blocks, or 111.25MB.

In celebration of the new Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice demo on the eShop, Capcom has published an 8-minute prologue video. It shows the events that are set just before the game, as rumblings of a legal revolution in Kingdom of Khura’in begin and Phoenix receiving a mysterious phone call while taking on a trial in the United States.
