My Nintendo adds Pokemon discounts, Pokemon Crystal wallpaper in North America

My Nintendo is celebrating this week’s announcement of Pokemon Crystal for the 3DS Virtual Console with new rewards. Discounts have been added in addition to a wallpaper.
On the discount front, you can save 30% on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team (Wii U) for 140 Platinum Points. There are also 30% discounts on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team (Wii U) and Pokemon Trading Card Game (3DS) for 20 Gold Points each.

Pokemon Crystal will be sold as a boxed release in Europe and Japan

When Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver hit the Virtual Console earlier this year, Europe and Japan received boxed versions. The newly-announced Pokemon Silver will be receiving the same treatment.
Europe’s edition will just feature the box with a download code inside. Japan’s copy contains a cartridge magnet, manual, and poster.

Nintendo Badge Arcade maintenance taking place next week

Nintendo Badge Arcade will be undergoing maintenance early next week. On December 18 / December 19, the app will be impacted for a couple of hours.
The maintenance schedule is as follows:
– 4 PM PT (December 18) – 6 PM PT (December 18)
– 7 PM ET (December 18) – 9 PM ET (December 18)
– 12 AM in the UK (December 19) – 2 AM in the UK (December 19)
– 1 AM in Europe (December 19) – 3 AM in Europe (December 19)

Style Savvy: Styling Star is out around the world, except in North America. Soon that will be changing.
North America will be getting Style Savvy: Styling Star on December 25. Ahead of the release, you can now pre-load the game on the 3DS eShop. You’ll need 5,977 blocks (747.125MB) of free space to do so.
