The folks over at Siliconera dissected the newest Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate footage to hit the web and noticed something unique in the footage that the series hadn’t previously seen. At around the 3:35 mark, it looks as if the character has multiple speeds to recover from being knocked down, similar to that of the recently released Ultra Street Fighter IV. Another feature to appear in this video are auto-chat which provide the ability to communicate premapped phrases with your party. A few new Etrian Odyssey II Untold: The Knight of the Fafnir details have come out of this week’s Famitsu. You can find them rounded up below.

– Regina makes an appearance in the game
– Regina is considered an exceptional chef
– She’s also the granddaughter of a minister in the game
– New cooking feature
– Gather ingredients from different gathering points in the dungeons and from monsters to make up to 70 different types of foods
– Sell food for money in town
– Can then use money to further expand the town
– Can trade Grimoires for other items with adventurers found in shops
– Make trades with other players through StreetPass
– There’s also a “recycling” feature that can be used for unwanted Grimoires
– First print soundtrack pictured above

SEGA has shared its lineup for PAX Prime 2014. Attendees can expect hands-on demos of Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal, and Alien: Isolation.

Check out SEGA’s official PAX Prime lineup below, including the confirmation of a first look at the new multiplayer capabilities of the Sonic gang in Rise of Lyric.

Initially a PSP title, Elminage Another Story was slated to launch on August 28 for the 3DS. The title has been delayed, but Starfish has now confirmed that a release will happen in Japan sometime in October. No word yet on a western launch.
