Rumor: Arc System Works leak confirms Nintendo Switch 2 cartridge theory
Posted on 2 months ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Switch 2 | 0 comments
Since the reveal of Nintendo Switch 2 last month and following the news about game-key cards, there’s been a claim regarding cartridges for the console. We’ve been hearing that unlike Switch 1, there aren’t many options when it comes to sizes. Nintendo Switch 1 offered developers and publishers various options including 8GB and 16GB. However, at least currently, it’s claimed that 64GB is pretty much the only option on Nintendo Switch 2.
It’s now looking like this may very well be true. Arc System Works appears to have been hit with an internal hack in which someone was able to steal tons of data. We don’t want to get into that too much, but the end result is that it’s brought along some Nintendo Switch 2 news.

Fast Fusion could get post-launch update with 120 FPS mode
Posted on 2 months ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch 2 | 0 comments
Fast Fusion may receive a 120 FPS performance mode after launch. That’s according to Manfred Linzner, who shared the news in an interview with Nintendo Everything.
Fast Fusion will run at 60 frames per second with a 4K resolution at launch. That alone is very much impressive. However, we could see an even higher level of performance in the future.

What we could see out of a Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Definitive Edition
Posted on 2 months ago by Ethan in Features, Switch, Switch 2 | 0 comments
You might be wondering: isn’t it too early to be thinking about a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 remaster? The answer might surprise you: not really! The original Xenoblade Chronicles released in Japan in 2010, and in America in 2012. It then received a Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch in 2020. If Xenoblade Chronicles 2 were going to receive a remaster on the same timetable, getting it this year wouldn’t be out of the question. That said, given how Monolith Soft released Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition in March, that clearly isn’t happening. In fact, we think we’ll probably see a Xenoblade Chronicles 4 before a potential Xenoblade Chronicles 2 remaster, but after that, we think it’s possible that the studio will eventually revisit the game. So today, we’re going through a full list of changes we would want to see in a hypothetical Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch 2. There are spoilers ahead, so be warned if you’re still trying to avoid them all these years later.

[Let’s Talk] Which Nintendo Switch 2 games are you picking up at launch?
Posted on 2 months ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Let's Talk, Switch 2 | 0 comments
Nintendo Switch 2 launches on June 5, so we’re less than a month away from release. Compared to other Nintendo console debuts, there will actually be a significant amount of games to choose from immediately.
Nintendo itself will ship Mario Kart World and Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour. There’ll also be the Nintendo Switch 2 Editions of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Many third-party games will be available, including Cyberpunk 2077, Street Fighter 6, Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster, Split Fiction, Fast Fusion, and more.
Which game – or games – will you be picking up for the Nintendo Switch 2 launch? Maybe you’re someone who’s actually not planning on grabbing anything right away? No matter the case, let us know in the comments.
Stardew Valley creator on why all of the updates are free, doesn’t care about money that much
Posted on 2 months ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Although Stardew Valley has been around for many years, the game hasn’t charged for any of its updates. Everything has been free. That’s despite the fact that many of its patches have been substantial, bringing along new content, features, and more.
For what Stardew Valley has brought to the game over the past decade, many studios would have opted to charge for at least some of it as paid DLC. ConcernedApe, however, has not gone down that path. Now we get to hear directly from its creator about why all of the updates have been free.
