September 22: In celebration of Hobbit Day, the release date for Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game was just announced. The game heads to Switch on March 25, 2024.
Today’s news follows the recent delay announcement that came in a few days ago. After it was originally slated for this year, the title was pushed back to early 2025. Now we have a proper date.
Star Wars: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles getting Nintendo Switch physical release

Star Wars: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles only made it to Nintendo Switch recently, but Limited Run Games just shared plans for a physical release.
The game will be offered standalone as per usual. On top of that, there’ll be a Premium Edition containing a Deployable Folding Droid pin, metal Obi-Wan figurine, commemorative Droideka coin, and a 12×16 poster inside of a foil-stamped collector’s box.
Cyber Shadow unveils Nintendo Switch physical release

We previously saw Cyber Shadow on the Nintendo eShop for Switch, but now a physical release is happening. Super Rare Games shared plans for boxed versions today.
6,000 copies will be sold, split into 4,000 standard units and 2,000 units of the Deluxe Edition. If you choose the latter, you’ll get fridge magnets with reversible battle scene, the CD soundtrack, enamel pin, and a sticker sheet. Both versions feature trading cards, a full color manual, and a sticker.
Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past announced

Today, publisher Red Dunes Games and developer Blast Zero unveiled Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past. The project is “in development for all major platforms”, so that presumably includes Nintendo Switch and / or Nintendo Switch 2.
Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past is based on the animated show of the same name. Samurai Pizza Cats itself is an adaptation of the Japanese anime Kyatto Ninden Teyandee. As for the new game, it’s a side-scrolling action RPG platformer.

After a little bit of a wait, On Your Tail has a release date on Nintendo Switch. Humble Games and Memorable Games today confirmed that it will be available on March 13, 2025.
On Your Tail was originally planned for November before being moved to February. However, it looks like it slipped again, though we at least now have a specific date.

Yooka-Replaylee “Rextro Bytes Back” trailer

Playtonic shared the latest update on Yooka-Replaylee today, revealing that the remake will feature a re-worked arcade.
As part of this, you’ll be able to play as Rextro and take on new platforming puzzles across eight upgraded arcade machines. The arcade involves taking on the Megabyte enemies as well as collecting medals and exchanging them for Pagies.

Original: The latest Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial has been announced for Europe, and Nintendo is partnering with EA to offer EA Sports FC 25.
If you’re a member, the entire game can be played for free starting on February 24 (running until March 2). All progress can also be transferred to the full version.
