Paper Mario: The Origami King dev on decision to feature stationery bosses, timer mechanic

Paper Mario: The Origami King has a number of bosses known as “Legion of Stationery”. These enemies come in the form of pencils, sticky tape, and more.
German outlet PCGames recently asked producer Kensuke Tanabe about the decision to have these bosses be regular objects instead of “normal” bad guys. Regarding that, Tanabe mentioned:

If you watched the previous Indie World Showcase back in March, you may remember a little game called I Am Dead. It’s an upcoming puzzle adventure game from Ricky Haggett and Richard Hogg, the creators of Hohokum and Wilmot’s Warehouse.
After it’s reveal earlier in the year, I Am Dead will be releasing on Switch in September. Those looking to get up to speed on what the game has to offer can read up on our new interview with Haggett and Hogg below. Future Games Show returning this month

The Future Games Show was held in June as one of the many replacement events for E3 2020. Recently, GamesRadar announced that the presentation will be returning for a second time in just a few weeks to tie in with Gamescom.

THQ Nordic and Purple Lamp have announced that a new SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated update is inbound for Switch. We don’t have an exact release date yet, but it’s targeted for arrival within the next ten days.
The upcoming update adds more concept art to the Theater, makes adjustments, fixes bugs and other issues, and more. Continue on below for the full patch notes.

Nintendo has announced the next major event for Mario Kart Tour. The Pirate Tour starts on August 11 at 11 PM PT / August 12 at 2 AM ET, the company has announced.

Noel The Mortal Fate due out on Switch this year, will have “Season 3.5” additional episode

Kawano announced today that the adventure game Noel The Mortal Fate will be landing on Switch later in 2020. We have a look at the new title screen above.
Outside confirming plans to launch this year, it’s been announced that Noel The Mortal Fate will include an exclusive “Season 3.5” episode on consoles. In the extra content, Caron and Noel take a seven-day break in LaPlace, and players can enjoy daily life in the city. It previously appeared in the game as fragmented segments.

Minoria coming to Switch on September 10
