Door Kickers: Action Squad getting a physical release

Strictly Limited Games is giving the side-scroller Door Kickers: Action Squad a physical version on Switch, the company has announced. It will follow an initial digital release, which is set for October.
Strictly Limited Games will offer a standard release and a collector’s edition. They will be limited to 2,500 copies and 1,500 copies respectively. The collector’s edition includes a hardcover box with magnetic closure, a hardcover art book, soundtrack CD, Door Kickers stick and an Action Squad poster.
Pre-order will go live on September 29 through Strictly Limited Games’ website. Pricing is set at €24.99 for the standard release and €44.99 for the collector’s edition.

Zelda: Link’s Awakening composer on why the music isn’t orchestrated, discusses title screen track

Nintendo has shared a new Zelda: Link’s Awakening blog post from Ryo Nagamatsu, one of the game’s composers. Aside from commenting on why the team didn’t opt for orchestrated music this time around, we get to hear about how the title theme track was created – including a couple of versions that were scrapped.

Untitled Goose Game has a pretty unique title, but that wasn’t always the plan. As it turns out, developer House House “didn’t intend for that to be the name of the game, but it really stuck, and we never found anything we liked more.”
The studio’s Stuart Gillespie-Cook and Jake Strasser told IGN:
