Penny's Big Breakaway review

System: Switch
Release date: February 21, 2024
Developer: Evening Star
Publisher: Private Division

When the initial reveal trailer for Penny’s Big Breakaway debuted last year, it felt like the stars were aligning. Here was a small development team of die-hard platformer fans delivering a wholly original IP, fresh off the back of crafting Sonic Mania for SEGA. Killer looks along with subtle, stylish nods to their prior work enamored a clamoring and captious demographic. Even as a relatively new team, developer Evening Star has prestige streaming from their ears, and an expectant fan base to go along with it. Now the game has finally dropped, and the resulting experience might not be all we had held our breath for.

Zapdos location Pokemon Scarlet Violet

Today, we’re once again continuing our coverage of Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with a Zapdos location guide. There are tons of returning Legendary Pokemon available in this game, and they’re all unlocked once you clear the main story of the Indigo Disk DLC.

Once you’ve done that, an NPC named Snacksworth will appear out front of Blueberry Academy. This character gives you snacks that attract certain Legendary Pokemon to specific places in Paldea. Every time you clear 10 Solo Quests or 1 Group Quest, you’ll earn one random Legendary snack. If you’re specifically hunting for Zapdos, you’ll need to keep clearing quests over and over again until you happen to receive the snack you’re looking for.

Former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime generated plenty of memes during his time with the company, including a line from the very first US Nintendo Direct. For those who hadn’t already owned a 3DS or weren’t thinking about picking one up, he had a simple question to those consumers: “What’s wrong with you?” You can check out that clip here.

Former Nintendo staffer Krysta Yang shared some insight into that moment during an episode of the Kit & Krysta podcast. It wasn’t just a throwaway line as the team working on the Nintendo Direct had some discussions about it. However, they felt that the envelope needed to be pushed a bit and wouldn’t be out of character for Reggie to say, so it was ultimately approved.
