Inescapable: No Rules, No Rescue release date set for October, new trailer

Thanks to Aksys Games and Dreamloop, we have a final release date for Inescapable: No Rules, No Rescue. We’ve got confirmation that it will launch on October 19, 2023.
Inescapable was first made known last July. Aksys Games most recently said it would be out this fall, but didn’t provide a specific date until today.

We’ve got the latest Nintendo release schedule for August 2023, which comes as part of the company’s financial results. Fans can get another overview as to what’s planned for Switch from a first and third-party respective.
New entries are included here for games that were announced in the most recent Nintendo Direct. Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Super Mario RPG, and Detective Pikachu Returns are some of the new highlights. Metroid Prime 4 also continues to tease us with its appearance, but is still without a release window.

Nintendo million sellers – August 2023 – Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom at 18.51 million units

As part of Nintendo’s latest financial results, we have an updated list of million sellers on Switch.
The main new addition here is The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which is now at 18.51 million units. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continues to be at the very top and is at 55.46 million units.

Previously announced for mobile, Powerful Pro Baseball Eikan Nine Crossroad has now been confirmed for consoles – including Switch. A release date of September 20 has thus far only been shared for the mobile version in Japan.

CounterAttack: Uprising, side-scrolling space shooter, planned for Switch

The side-scrolling space shooter CounterAttack: Uprising is on the way to Switch, it’s been announced. A release is scheduled for Q3 2023.
The Switch version of CounterAttack: Uprising will include 25 new attachments and two new levels, “Anomaly” and “Gate”. Also included is support for up to eight players online and four-players in local co-op.
Fantasy RPG Elements Destiny seeing Switch release

Publisher Deck13, along with developer ShrooMoon UG, have announced that Elements Destiny will be released on Switch. It’s currently targeting a 2024 debut.

Sonic Superstars devs discuss new enemy Trip

Sonic Superstars is taking a different approach to the story, including with new enemy trip. The developers behind the game have now given insight into its creation.
Sonic Team creative officer Takashi Iizuka told Game Informer that the team “wanted to have a new story,” which required a new character. It was also important to have an enemy “with some kind of unique characteristics, some character backgrounds, some storytelling elements that are going to make the character unique and stand out and be a character that people can kind of relate to and empathize with and enjoy as a character in the world”.
