Tamagotchi Plaza getting Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 physical release in Japan with English support, pre-orders open

We’ve got a bit of news for those looking to secure a physical copy of Tamagotchi Plaza. Over in Japan, Bandai Namco will be putting the game out at retail.
Tamagotchi Plaza will be available in boxed form on both Nintendo Switch 1 and 2. For the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, everything is included on the cartridge – it’s not a game-key card release. Also, both Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 will support English alongside Japanese.

Nintendo files lawsuit against Genki over Switch 2 mockup shown at CES 2025 booth

It’s now come to light that Nintendo is pursuing legal action against Genki, an accessories maker that gained notoriety before the reveal of Switch 2.
Before the system was officially announced earlier in the year, leaks and rumors were flying in left and right. Genki was one such entity that got in on the action. At CES 2025 a few months ago, the company was showing off a Nintendo Switch 2 dummy replica. Nintendo understandably wasn’t too happy with what transpired.

In the very near future, SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered will be receiving a physical release on Nintendo Switch.
You may recall that the game was announced and released during a Nintendo Direct several weeks ago. Initially, it was sold only as a digital download. But now a physical release is heading to Japan – and English will be supported on the cartridge.

Nintendo Accounts website opens new portal

As Nintendo Switch 2 approaches and with the release of a big firmware update this release for the company’s current system, something you might want to be made aware of (if you haven’t already) is a new portal site for Nintendo Accounts.
A website for Nintendo Accounts was previously started, which still exists. That site has also seen a few changes, but it currently houses user information, sign in and security settings, the ability to manage Family Groups, privacy and other settings, and a QR code for event check ins. Managing passes, checking on My Nintendo points, and various items related to funds and payments are on the new portal site.

Konami released one of the first post-launch updates for Suikoden 1 & 2 HD Remaster this week, and on Nintendo Switch, it’s now at version 1.0.3.
New functions have been added alongside tons of bug fixes. These include the ability to toggle music playback speed when using the double speed function, turning on/off auto-saves, and more.
