Switch eShop

GungHo has shared the third developer diary for Volta-X. Below, senior gameplay engineer Thomas Lu and senior animator Cristian Thompson offer up a deep dive into the core gameplay, including the battle system.

Previous developer diaries can be found here and here. Volta-X launches for Switch on August 12.

A number of new deals are up and running on the North American Switch eShop. These include Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Mega Mix, Mortal Kombat 11, Picross games, and more.

Nintendo Switch

Top Hat Studios is gearing up for its next visual novel for Switch. According to an eShop listing, Big Dipper will be available on August 13.

I Am Dead

If you watched the previous Indie World Showcase back in March, you may remember a little game called I Am Dead. It’s an upcoming puzzle adventure game from Ricky Haggett and Richard Hogg, the creators of Hohokum and Wilmot’s Warehouse.

After it’s reveal earlier in the year, I Am Dead will be releasing on Switch in September. Those looking to get up to speed on what the game has to offer can read up on our new interview with Haggett and Hogg below. Noel The Mortal Fate

Kawano announced today that the adventure game Noel The Mortal Fate will be landing on Switch later in 2020. We have a look at the new title screen above.

Outside confirming plans to launch this year, it’s been announced that Noel The Mortal Fate will include an exclusive “Season 3.5” episode on consoles. In the extra content, Caron and Noel take a seven-day break in LaPlace, and players can enjoy daily life in the city. It previously appeared in the game as fragmented segments.
