Switch eShop

Bad North

A new update has gone live for Bad North on Switch. Version 1.06 makes balance adjustments,  adds in features, improves performance, and fixes bugs.

The full patch notes are as follows:

The first Trine came to Switch a couple of months ago. Its two sequels are also planned for the near future, with the currently-in-development fourth title on the way.

Additionally, just a couple of days ago, Trinelogy was rated for Switch by PEGI. While we technically don’t have confirmation on what this is, it’s likely a bundle of the first three Trine titles as this product is available on Steam. What would be interesting to see is if Frozenbyte offered a physical version or if it’s only a digital release.

Frozenbyte has not yet provided release dates for Trine 2 and Trine 3 on Switch.

It was roughly a year ago that we heard about Downwell creator Ojiro Fumoto joining Nintendo. That relationship didn’t last terribly long, with Fumoto confirming that he’s already gone from the company. He’s returning to his roots and becoming an indie developer once again.

The good news is that Fumoto left on his own terms and the two sides still have an amicable relationship. He wrote on Twitter that working at Nintendo was “an incredible experience”.

Playful Corp appears to be bringing its platformer Super Lucky’s Tale to Switch.

The studio’s concept artist made mention of Nintendo’s console in resumes. In a couple of CVs, it’s stated that this person worked on “environment assets for the upcoming Nintendo Switch port.” Gearbox Software outsource manager Jesse Sosa, who was at Playful Corp until the end of 2017, also says he shipped Super Lucky’s Tale on Switch as part of his LinkedIn profile – though it has obviously yet to be released (or officially announced).
