Valkyria Chronicles 1 will be available on the Switch eShop starting October 16 for $19.99. Those who have Valkyria Chronicles 4 digitally can save $5 until December 17.

Iris School of Wizardry: Vinculum Hearts

OperaHouse Corporation will be adding to the lineup of visual novels on Switch with Iris School of Wizardry: Vinculum Hearts. According to the North American eShop, it’s due out next week.

Batman: The Enemy Within

Batman: The Enemy Within ended up arriving on Switch this week as scheduled from Telltale. Have a look at some footage below.

At the Tokyo Game Show a couple of weeks ago, SEGA held a stage show for SEGA Ages. It was here that the next game in the series, Virtua Racing, was announced. The results of the fan popularity poll were also revealed in which Jet Set Radio took the top spot. The presentation had some interesting information that we thought was worth sharing.

SEGA Ages producer Kagasei Shimomura came out and said: “Jet Set Radio coming first in the most-wanted games poll for the SEGA Ages doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll get a port,” but he still wants to “meet fans expectations.” Famitsu attributes its popularity in the poll to composer Hideki Naganuma calling for fans worldwide to vote for it.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season

No one really saw it coming, but Telltale Games has essentially closed. Everything transpired out of the blue, which left The Walking Dead: The Final Season in flux. Two episodes are currently available, but two more were promised. Telltale later said it would try to pass of the final two episodes to an outside entity. Now there’s finally news on that front.

Skybound has announced that a deal has been reached with Telltale to continue developing The Walking Dead: The Final Season. The company says it intends to “wrap up Clem’s story right”.

Hamster has quickly become one of the most prolific companies when it comes to bringing back classic games. On a weekly basis, the eShop has been receiving new NeoGeo and arcade titles.

Yet what goes behind all of that? How is Hamster able to bring back these classic games on a weekly basis? In a recent interview with Famitsu, Arcade Archives producer Satoshi Hamada was brought in to answer the import questions. He spoke about working with Nintendo on its arcade titles, the reason Hamster has weekly releases, and what the fast pace of development is like.

In a recent news post sent out to Switch owners, Nintendo provided a listing of the top 15 European eShop downloads for September 2018.

During the month, Undertale was the top seller. Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition, another newcomer, lands at #3. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has also moved up several spot and was the second best-selling game.

I Hate Running Backwards

I Hate Running Backwards initially released a few months ago. The Switch version is now complete, and will arrive this month. The North American and European eShops both show a release date of October 19.
