Haven review

System: Switch
Release date: February 4, 2021
Developer: The Game Bakers
Publisher: The Game Bakers

Playing Haven, a game about two lovers surviving in space together, often feels like dancing. Whether the game’s protagonists are careening across floating islands, fighting corrupted wildlife or engaging each other in conversation, almost every component of Haven’s gameplay has a rhythm to it that makes the experience feel like a spectacle. While it suffers from occasionally tedious systems and a bloated structure, Haven’s focused story, striking presentation, and innovative combat make it of the most unique third-person games I’ve played recently – despite some technical issues.

The Amazing American Circus

Following its announcement late last year, The Amazing American Circus has received a final release date. Klabater, in partnership with Juggler Games, have set a May 20 release date for the single-player circus empire-building game.

Corpse Party Blood covered: ...Repeated fear.

Corpse Party Blood covered: …Repeated fear. is a few weeks from its Switch release – in Japan that is. While we’re waiting to see if the game will be picked up for the west, we do have some good news for fans overseas.

The listing for Corpse Party Blood covered: …Repeated fear. has popped up on the Switch eShop, and it reveals support for both Japanese and English. It’s possible that the title will be offered officially in North America and Europe later on, but if that doesn’t happen, you’ll be happy to hear that it can be fully played in English. You’ll simply need to purchase the game from the Japanese eShop, which is possible as long as you set up a Japanese Nintendo Account on your Switch system.
