FAST Racing Neo

Shin’en casually announced FAST Racing Neo a few weeks ago. Soon after, the game dropped off the radar.

Neo’s announcement came without any sort of information or media. This begs the question: when will we actually see something pertaining to the game?

Unfortunately, Shin’en intends to keep us waiting a bit longer. The studio will be sharing content starting next year.

Shin’en’s Manfred Linzner told Pretendo:

In 2014. We currently optimize the local multiplayer part and it seems as we can go far beyond what we have done previously.

Dreadlocks’ cyberpunk 2D RPG “Dex” has been updated on Kickstarter with a Wii U stretch goal. If the campaign reaches £28,000 in total funds by December 12, the game will come to Nintendo’s home console.

Dreadlocks would release Dex on Wii U two to three months after the initial launch on PC, Mac, Linux, and Ouya. All backers eligible for the game download would have the option of choosing the Wii U version.

EDGE is off to a fantastic start on the Wii U eShop. The title has become Two Tribes’ best-selling game on the digital store thus far, based on first day sales.

Two Tribes tweeted earlier today:

With less than a week remaining, Wii U has been added in as an official stretch goal for The Girl and the Robot’s Kickstarter. The campaign needs to hit $25,000 CAD in order to ensure a release on Nintendo’s console. That goal must be reached by November 28.

This was serious — we all have a deep love for the platform, and that type of money would allow us to hire someone full time to ‘down-port’ the game. Of course, it would be a hefty task and there would be significant differences — fewer enemies, effects and animation frames due to memory limitations — though I think we could adjust and make something incredibly special with ‘Super Hyper Light Drifter’ regardless. It’s a dream goal to put it up on my favorite console of all, and I hope to accomplish that dream sooner than later. Maybe once we release the game we will have the opportunity to accomplish this.

– Hyper Light Drifter creator Alex Preston

Alex spoke with RedBull Gaming about plenty of other things, particularly mentioning the potential inclusion of an area of the game that uses Mode7-like traversal– a ‘fun vehicle section’ as he calls it. Plenty of things to be excited about here!
