At the 2018 GeekWire Summit in Seattle earlier today, Reggie Fils-Aime stopped by. The Nintendo of America president addressed the Wii U’s failures, but also spoke about how it eventually paved the way for Switch.

Speaking about the Wii U, Reggie stated:

Limited Run Games

Limited Run Games has been offering physical versions of Switch games for the past several months. But for a one-time release, the company is going back to the previous generation of Nintendo hardware.

Limited Run’s Josh Fairhurst has teased a Wii U game, though hasn’t indicated what it will be. Unfortunately, it sounds like securing the release wasn’t easy as it took a year as well as lost money. Fairhurst also doesn’t anticipate Limited Run making a profit.

Amazon has significantly reduced the price of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: Creating a Champion: Hero’s Edition pre-orders. Normally priced at $99.99, it’s down to $59.99 currently. It’s unclear how long this price will be live.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild: Creating a Champion: Hero’s Edition has also been discounted on Amazon Canada and Amazon UK. The two have it down to $78.59 (save $52.40) and £54.27 (save £29.23) respectively. 

Don’t forget that GameStop will be selling the exclusive Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Creating a Champion Champions’ Edition – Summer Convention Exclusive 2018. The collector’s case features burnished leather with gold foil embellishments, the Creating a Champion art book with exclusive cover and gold gilded edges, a cloth Calamity Ganon tapestry, an art print featuring the Champions flying into battle, six mini prints of each Champion and Zelda, and four crafted glass Champions’ orbs with laser etchings of the Divine Beast symbols rendered within.
