Wii U

Saber Interactive hasn’t had much to say about Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn. We did recently come across a retail listing for the game, but we haven’t heard much over the past few months.

Speaking with TechRaptor, Saber Interactive finally explained the situation. Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn is apparently complete, and the team is now working around licensing issues. News will be provided soon on the game’s official Indiegogo page. Oh, and the Wii U version has been dropped, which is not much of a surprise.

At Niconico Tokaigi 2018, Off the Hook appeared live for the first time during a special concert. The Squid Sisters also returned for a new performance. If you’re interested, you can watch the full concert below.

Nintendo Switch

GamesIndustry has a new report on Switch sales in the UK. According to the site, 700,000 units have been sold since last year’s launch. GamesIndustry further adds that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild have sold more than one million copies between them. As far as Wii U goes, Switch has already outsold the system.

While Switch is doing fairly well in the UK, it hasn’t taken off as much as it has in other countries. Unlike other regions, the console hasn’t broken again records there. Piers Harding-Rolls, director of research and analysis at IHS Markit, provides the following as to why that is:

During a live stream on Twitch today, the full lineup was announced for EVO 2018. Two Nintendo titles will be returning – we’re referring to Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, of course. The upcoming Switch game BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle will also be at the fighting tournament.

EVO 2018 will take place between August 3 and August 5. It will be hosted at Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Original: Nintendo World Report has put together a video comparing the original Bayonetta on Switch and Wii U. The game has a slightly darker tone on Switch, and also loads a bit faster. You can watch the full comparison below.

A new update has gone live for Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It primarily acts as a way of adding in support for more languages, though Nintendo says fixes have also been implemented.

The full patch notes are as follows:

  • You can now select Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), or Korean in the language settings menu on the Switch console to display text in the selected language.
    • Voice Language selection is not supported for the above languages. If you choose “Match System Settings” in Options, voice data will be set to Japanese.
  • Various fixes to improve gameplay.
