A tweet published on the official Japanese Hyrule Warriors Twitter page earlier today revealed that Koei Tecmo would be supporting the game with “long-term updates and a large-scale mode expansion”. Thanks to a listing on the eShop, we have a few more details as to what’s planned for the future.
The listing states that more characters, weapons, and scenarios are planned. There’s also the word “??” in the listing, which implies that there could be even more things on the way. It’ll be interesting to see what happens in the future!

Hyrule Warriors to be supported with “long-term updates and a large-scale mode expansion”
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 2 Comments
Hyrule Warriors’ development is complete, and the game has now been released in Japan. However, Koei Tecmo doesn’t intend to end its support anytime soon.
On the official Japanese Hyrule Warriors Twitter account, a message posted states that the game will receive “long-term updates and a large-scale mode expansion”.
Here’s the full translation:
“New information to commemorate the release. Hyrule Warriors is a “festive Zelda title” that was made with much effort. In order to have you folks enjoy it for longer, we’re currently planning long-term updates and a large-scale mode expansion. We’ve received a few bug reports, so we’ll be working on that as well.”
“For these reasons, the development staff will be working in the midst of Obon (Japanese holiday). Keep it a secret from everyone!”
