Today, Marvelous Europe alongside XSEED Games and BattleBrew Productions confirmed that Cuisineer will release on Switch. The game will be out on January 28, 2025.

Cuisineer is a roguelite dungeon crawler and restaurant sim. New weapons, year-round festivals, a wardrobe feature, and more will be included.

Sea of Stars is getting Throes of the Watchmaker DLC, it’s been announced. The DLC will be available next spring.

Throes of the Watchmaker has Valere and Zale, Sea of Stars’ dual protagonists fated to become world-protecting Solstice Warriors, returning to one of the most intriguing characters met during their adventure – the Watchmaker. More information can be found in the rundown from Sabotage: 

Balatro The Witcher III, Dave the Diver, Among Us

Balatro just revealed a number of collaborations with The Witcher III, Vampire Survivors, Dave the Diver, and Among Us. This is part of a brand new “Friends of Jimbo” update, arriving today.

Epic Mickey Rebrushed demo

If you’re looking to try out Epic Mickey: Rebrushed early, you can do so with a new demo. THQ Nordic just shared the news ahead of next month’s launch.

A demo for Epic Mickey Rebrushed has actually been playable previously. However, you either needed to be at D23 or Gamescom to try out the trial.

Koei Tecmo and Gust just shared the release date for Fairy Tail 2. It’ll be available for Switch on December 11, 2024, the two sides announced today.

Also unveiled is a special edition for Fairy Tail 2. Sold exclusively on the NIS America store (get it here), the Guild Box includes the base game, the visual artbook “Sorcerer Magazine Special Issue: Game Release Edition Vol.2” inspired by the “Sorcerer Magazine” as seen in the original work, a Special Shikishi with Holographic Finish (three types in total), and more.

Indie World Showcase and Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase live stream

The Indie World Showcase and Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase is starting not too long from now. Nintendo’s stream kicks off at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe. Remember that the Indie World Showcase is first, and then Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase begins right after.

Everything covered here will be for upcoming Switch games. Nintendo will not be discussing the Switch successor.

Little Big Adventure Twinsen's Quest limited edition

We have an update on Little Big Adventure: Twinsen’s Quest, as Microids unveiled a limited edition today. A new gameplay trailer was also shared.

The limited edition for Little Big Adventure: Twinsen’s Quest includes the game and various bonuses. You’ll get an in-game outfit for Twinsen, the digital soundtrack, digital art book, and a 3D lenticular print.

Emio - The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club demo

Original: Nintendo today announced a demo for Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club, which will actually be split into three parts. The news is technically only shared for Japan thus far, but the same will likely apply to the west (plus Switch is region free and English is supported in all versions of the game).

The first part of the demo, which consists of the prologue and first chapter, will release on August 19 / August 20 (actual time varies depending on your region). Nintendo will then follow up with the second chapter on August 22 / August 23. Lastly, the third chapter closes things out on August 27 / August 28.

Indie World Showcase Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase

Nintendo will host not one, but two new presentations tomorrow with an Indie World Showcase and Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase. The fun begins at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe.

The Indie World Showcase will go live first. Right after that event, the Nintendo Direct: Partners Showcase will begin. Between the two, everything will take place across 40 minutes (give or take).

Both events will cover upcoming games for Switch. Unsurprisingly, Nintendo will not be talking about the system’s successor here.

Here’s where you can watch tomorrow’s proceedings:

July 19: The Grand Fesival in Splatoon 3 is set to start on September 13, Nintendo have announced. The event will last for 72 hours, and will mark the two-year anniversary of the game.

The official announcement video, which you can view below, gives us a preview of what is to come. It also details the Splatfest that will happen during the event, which will give players a choice between Past, Present, and Future.
