Capcom Fighting Collection 2 release date

A final release date was just announced for Capcom Fighting Collection 2. The package is slated for May 16, 2025 on Nintendo Switch and other platforms.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 was a big announcement when it was revealed during a Nintendo Direct last year. It was given a 2025 release window at the time. New features are planned including online play with rollback netcode and quality-of-life updates across all eight titles.

Fashion Police Squad, which is already on Nintendo Switch digitally, is now getting a physical release. This one comes courtesy of Limited Run Games.

Just a standard copy will be offered to consumers. Limited Run Games does not appear to be readying any special editions.

MLB The Show 25

January 28: PlayStation today officially unveiled MLB The Show 25 and confirmed that the game will be appearing on Nintendo Switch as we’ve seen with the series over the past few years. It’s due out on March 18, 2025 with Early Access happening on March 14 through the Digital Deluxe Edition.

The big news for the game is that there’ll be three cozy athletes for the first time ever. Paul Skenes, Elly De La Cruz, and Gunnar Henderson will grace the cover as the franchise celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Another wave of PlatinumGames departures have been confirmed, including the director of Bayonetta 3. This comes courtesy of a new video from Hideki Kamiya, who previously left the company.

Takahisa Taura, the director of Astral Chain, was previously thought to have left – and that’s now confirmed. Additionally, Bayonetta 3 director Yusuke Miyata is gone. The same goes for Kenji Saito (Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance director) and Masaki Yamanaka (Anarchy Reigns character designer).

We have a few more words out of Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa, who today commented on Switch 1 sales in light of Switch 2 arriving later in 2025.

Furukawa told investors that the company doesn’t believe that the recent announcement of the new console will greatly affect sales of its current system. “We don’t think the impact of reluctance to buy is that great, and although we consider this to be a solid eighth year, we were unable to reach our target,” he noted.

Super Mario Party Jamboree fastest-selling

Based on the latest data from Nintendo, Super Mario Party Jamboree is now the fastest-selling entry in the series thus far.

The company just provided its latest financial sales, which included the first sales update on the Nintendo Switch exclusive. As we already mentioned, it’s sold 6.17 million units worldwide. After doing so in only ten weeks, it reached that milestone of becoming the fastest-selling entry in the franchise.

As we typically see with Nintendo’s financial results, we have an updated release schedule for February 2025. The company is highlighting the games it will be offering on Nintendo Switch.

The main thing here is that Nintendo Switch 2 now appears for the first time. Outside of that, while things are looking light, we should know what’s coming for the console following the Nintendo Direct on April 2. There could also be a Switch 1-focused presentation before then as well.

The full schedule for February 2025 is as follows:

Super Mario Kart Nintendo Switch Online icons

Nintendo Switch Online is kicking off the month with some new icons based on Super Mario Kart.

Outside of having an active subscription, in order to redeem the icons, you’ll need to boot up the classic game on the SNES app. They’ll then be unlocked. Note that there are seven character designs available and each one costs 10 Platinum Points on My Nintendo. Note that by simply booting up Super Mario Kart, you’ll be given 50 Platinum Points – so you can essentially get five of them for free.
