Wii U eShop

It’s been a long wait for Armillo, but the game is almost ready for release. It may only be a couple of weeks away – at least in Europe – based on a new listing on the eShop.

If the Wii U eShop is correct, Armillo will launch in Europe on July 3. One would also think that the North American launch would take place at around the same time.

Super Mario Bros. 3

Virtual Console news was noticeably absent from E3 last week. Aside from new title confirmations from Capcom and Natsume, there just wasn’t much there.

As part of an E3 interview with Kotaku, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime reaffirmed that Nintendo’s commitment to the service “is exceptionally strong.” He also explained, “there is significant work to take a game that was launched on a previous platform and make it compatible on the current platform”.

You can find all of Reggie’s comments about the Virtual Console below.

Three more games should be reaching the North American Wii U eShop this week. Another World – 20th Anniversary Edition, How to Survive, and Color Zen Kids will all launch in just a few days, assuming listings on the Wii U eShop are correct. Each will release on June 19.
