Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga isn’t too far away from its western debut, and now the game has received its opening movie.

For those that missed our previous coverage, here’s some information about the game:

May 28: Scurge: Hive, which originally released nearly two decades ago, is now coming to Nintendo Switch.

Ratalaika Games confirmed plans for the port today. After it came out on 2006 on Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS, we’ll be seeing the Metroidvania title on Switch – which will now include save states, cheats, and rewind functionality.

Here’s the full breakdown:

System: Switch
Release date: October 2, 2025
Developer: Nintendo
Publisher: Nintendo

The 40th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. series is finally here, and Nintendo’s most notable offering for the event has now arrived as well. By now, there isn’t too much to say about Super Mario Galaxy or Super Mario Galaxy 2 that hasn’t already been said – they’re absolutely brilliant 3D platformers and are properly rated as some of the greatest games of all time. Thankfully, that brilliance continues to shine bright on Nintendo Switch (and Switch 2) with the new re-release. Long story short: if you can stomach the $70 asking price, this is the best official way to play two of Nintendo’s greatest games. The developers have made a whole host of minor changes to these titles that make them a joy to play through, even to this day.

Space Chef now has its release date on Nintendo Switch. The game is slated for October 28, 2025, publisher Kwalee and developer BlueGooGames confirmed today.

Space Chef, a cooking adventure title, was revealed back in 2022. Fans helped bring the project to life via crowdfunding.

Tons of details can be found in the following overview:

Digital Foundry has conducted a deep dive on the DLSS functionality for Nintendo Switch 2, uncovering new details.

For those that are unaware, DLSS essentially allows games to achieve higher resolution that wouldn’t normally be possible. For example, Street Fighter 6 runs at a fixed native 960×540 resolution when docked, but can ultimately output at 1080p.

August 29: Playtonic has just come through with a release date for Yooka-Replaylee, their new Nintendo Switch 2 game. Fans can pick it up on October 9, 2025.

Yooka-Replaylee is a remake of the original Yooka-Laylee, which previously came to Nintendo Switch.

If you need a refresher on the upcoming title, read the following overview:

April 29: Publisher RedDeerGames has announced Nuclear Gladiators 300 for Nintendo Switch. There is no release date currently.

Nuclear Gladiators 3000 is a top-down 2D arena shooter developed by Turbo Napalm. The game has you playing as a cast of colorful characters wiping out monsters for the entertainment of an audience, whose satisfaction is gauged by an applause meter.

Here’s some more information about the game:

Back in 2024, Toby Fox told fans that he was bringing in more talent to help work on his next game, Deltarune. He planned to still very much be involved in the creation process, but it meant taking a slight step back.

In a recent interview, Fox explained that decision. He also commented on his physical condition for wrist issues – something we’ve heard about before – which is thankfully is a bit better these days.

September 30: Nintendo has come out with another Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury update, with the game moving up to version 1.2.2.

Nintendo can often be cryptic with its patches, and that’s once again the case here. Issues have been fixed – but these are unspecified.
