Unfixed Brain’s new project Lightwood is in the works for Switch, the studio has confirmed. Currently it does not have a release window.
Lightwood is a semi-open world Metroidvania game set inside a dying tree. While taking on Lords, players will unravel the ancient mysteries behind the kingdom’s decay.

August 5: Escape from the Pharaoh’s Tomb, the latest release from Ratalaika Games, has been announced for Switch. The title is due out this week – specifically August 9, 2024.

August 1: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team has been announced as the latest addition to Nintendo Switch Online. The game will be available starting August 9, 2024.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team was originally made for the Game Boy Advance. If you’re a member of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier, you’ll be able to gain access next week.

There’s more news to share about Doom today with Bethesda unveiling Doom Anthology. A release date has not yet been provided.
Doom Anthology contains Doom (1993), Doom II, Doom 64, Doom 3, Doom (2016), and Doom Eternal Deluxe Edition. Just keep in mind that downloads are required. Outside of the games, you’ll get an exclusive steelbook and a 5-inch replica BFG with LED lights and stand.
In celebration of QuakeCon, Bethesda just published new versions of Doom and Doom II in a single bundle that contain additional content and features. This just went live on Switch.
One of the highlights is Legacy of Rust, a new episode made in collaboration by id Software, Nightdive Studios and MachineGames. Additionally, a new Deathmatch map pack featuring 25 maps is available. As far as new features go, there’s online, cross-platform deathmatch and co-op for up to 16 players plus more.
Original: Square Enix has announced today via social media that it will be printing a second run of physical copies of Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster in North America and Europe. The collection released on Switch last year digitally via the eShop and received a very limited physical run. This second printing, which will include a sticker sheet, will release on October 8, 2024. Pre-orders are available now via Amazon and the official site.
