BBG Entertainment is working on Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary, the company announced today. The game is now in development for Switch.

Little is known about the project at this time. BBG Entertainment simply says that it’s celebrating the game’s big anniversary with a “reboot” of the classic title, which was first released for Atari and Commodore home computers in 1984.

Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary is due out on Switch this fall / winter. Those attending Gamescom can try out the game in Hall 10.2 between August 21 and August 25. The same booth will have demos for Astrosmash and Shark Shark, which are already available on Switch.

August 2: Nintendo isn’t slowing down with special Tetris 99 events, and today announced the 42nd Maximus Cup featuring Splatoon 3: Side Order.

Those that have access to Nintendo Switch Online can play in the event. Simply partake in the online mode while the event is active and you’ll earn points for every match. Note that points are determined based on where you finish. After hitting 100 points, the Splatoon 3: Side Order theme will be yours. The design features background art, music, and Tetrimino designs inspired by the game’s DLC.

Outbound landed on Kickstarter today, and in just a few hours, the funding goal was met. Over $35,000 has been raised already and Switch is a part of the project’s plans.

Outbound, an open-world exploration game which takes place in a utopian near future, has players beginning their adventure with an empty camper van and turning it into the home of their dreams. While the whole thing can be played along, one of the big hooks is support for up to four players.

Bye Sweet Carole has been delayed, with the game moving to 2025. Originally, it was planned for sometime this year.

Little Sewing Machine said in a statement today that the extra time will allow the team to “improving the quality of the gameplay and art that made you fall in love with the project in the first place.” The full statement can be found below.
