Publisher Neowiz and developer Wonder Potion have come through with a release date for Sanabi. It’s slated for November 9, 2023, the two sides announced today.

Sanabi, a dystopian action platformer, was first revealed in June 2022. Neowiz did not originally provide a launch window.

Here’s an overview of the game:

Star Ocean: The Second Story R appears to be yet another game on Switch with a physical release that requires a download.

Reddit user Casting_Quarters managed to find the RPG at Walmart even though it won’t be out for another week. At the bottom of the boxart, that’s where the dreaded “download required” label can be found. The back mentions that players need to download at least 3GB, but the final size is apparently 4.1GB.

GameMill has shared the launch trailer for Pickleball: Smash – which also happens to be the title’s first trailer. This one just released on Switch.

Here’s some information about the game as provided by the eShop listing:

With Super Mario RPG finally set to return with a Switch remake this year, we’ve started up a guide to round up every notable pre-order bonus for the game ahead of the holiday season.

Super Mario RPG has only ever appeared on the Virtual Console and SNES Slassic, but now Nintendo is giving the game a full overhaul. Obviously, the graphics have been reworked (and there are special cinematics as well). Additionally, the title’s original composer is back on board to update the music.

As for the actual game, players will be going on a quest to save Star Road and stop the troublemaking Smithy Gang. Mario, Bowser, and Peach are in for the ride as well as fan-favorite Geno and Mallo.

System: Switch
Release date: October 17, 2023
Developer: Arzest / SEGA
Publisher: SEGA

Few video game mascots are as instantly recognizable as Sonic the Hedgehog, and even fewer have had such a turbulent career. It often feels as though SEGA doesn’t quite know what it wants to do with the character, and as a result it’s difficult to know what to expect from each new title. Sonic Superstars is now the latest outing for the blue blur, and although it hearkens back to the beloved 2D Genesis games that kickstarted the franchise, there are several modern elements thrown in to shake up the gameplay, both for better and for worse.

Gearbox and Hopoo Games today announced a release date for both Risk of Rain Returns and Risk of Rain 2: Survivors of the Void. Both are due out on November 8, 2023.

Risk of Rain Returns is a complete remake of the original game from the ground up with additional features, enhanced visuals, and new music from composer Chris Christodoulou. Also revealed as Pilot, a highly mobile and context-sensitive Survivor for the game. He’s equipped with a range of utility, direct, and airborne abilities and his signature move, Clusterfire, is a triple burst shot that can damage groups of enemies or finish them off.

Original (10/24): Cult of the Lamb is getting the Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial treatment, it’s been announced.

Those that are currently a part of the service can play the full game entirely at no extra cost. The trial period will be held between October 25 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET until October 31 at 11:59 PM PT / November 1 at 2:59 AM ET.

Thanks to Dear Villagers and WildArts Studio, we have a final release date for Born of Bread. The two sides confirmed today that the game launches for Switch on December 5, 2023.

Born of Bread, which has drawn comparisons to Paper Mario, was previously announced for Switch in March. The 2.5D adventure game with QTE turn-based combat did not have any sort of release window until today.

Here’s a bunch of information about the game:

A final release date has just come in for Spirittea, the life sim inspired by Stardew Valley and other media like Spirited Away. Publisher No More Robots and developer Cheesemaster Games will be bringing it to Switch on November 13, 2023.

It’s been over a year since we last heard about Spirittea. The game was originally planned for 2022, but was delayed.

The Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 character spotlights continue on, and we now have a video for Reptar that also gives a closer look at his moveset.

Reptar can use fiery breath, powerful attacks, brutal chomps, and even ice skates. His strength and size are his upsides, though that’s offset by very slow speed – including slower attacks. A lot of Reptar’s moves take up some of his flame meter including his grounded and aerial upcharge attacks plus some of his specials, though it fills up with other attacks.
