The just-released Switch version of Quake II is getting not only one, but three different physical versions on Switch. All three come from Limited Run Games.

First up is, of course, the standard physical copy. Also available will be a special edition, which features a steelbook, poster, briefing document, and a set of dog tags in a throwback two-piece box. Lastly is the Ultimate Strogg Edition featuring all that and more, with the entire special edition, a challenge coin, mini metal Adrianator ship, and a service patch all in a beefy Strogg Collector’s Box.

Original (4/10): New content is in store for Let’s Build a Zoo, as Aquarium Odyssey DLC has just been announced. Switch will be getting it later this year.

The upcoming DLC includes a new campaign, over 50 new species, 7 new enclosures, more than 110 shops, decorations, and more. Players can expect it to take over twenty hours to complete.

A launch trailer is available for the Switch title Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical. Following a short delay, it arrived this week.

Below is an official overview with more details:

Numskull Games has announced the Train Valley Collection, which is a physical version for the Train Valley series on Switch.

Hello Engineer was announced previously, but a Switch version wasn’t confirmed. That changes today with tinyBuild making it official.

Hello Engineer was previously a Stadia exclusive. It’s a construction puzzle spinoff from the Hello Neighbor series in which players can make bizarre vehicles from scraps to escape a crazy amusement park.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 was recently announced for Switch, and we’re now starting to get a closer look at the roster starting with SpongeBob SquarePants. An official spotlight trailer was posted today.

As an all-rounder and a straighforward moveset, SpongeBob is said to be good for beginners. However, he’s relatively short range and isn’t the fastest character. Move advanced more can be pulled off with cancelling.

Surprise – Quake II is now available on Switch. Bethesda just released the game on the Switch eShop, which comes as part of QuakeCon 2023.

This follows the original Quake that made it to Switch in 2021. That one also saw a surprise launch during QuakeCon.

As for Quake II, it comes with the Call of the Machine expansion plus original Mission Packs, Quake II 64, online and local multiplayer, cross-play support, and optional motion aiming. More information can be found in the following overview:

Pix’n Love is working with SNK on a physical release of The King of Fighters XIII Global Match for Switch, the company has announced.

Three versions are planned: standard, collector’s, and deluxe. There’ll only be 1,300 units for the collector’s edition and 150 units for the deluxe edition.
