Toy Soldiers HD finally launched on Switch today, and we have a closer look thanks to new gameplay. 44 minutes of footage has come in.
Everything you need to know about the title can be found in the following overview:
Limited Run Games has shared details about the upcoming physical release for Spidersaurs on Switch.
Two different versions will be offered: standard and collector’s edition. If you’re going for the collector’s edition, you’ll receive a retro box, the soundtrack, parking sticker, a Victoria concert poster with helpful tips and tricks on the back, and more.
NOVECT has revealed that its visual novel Seventh Lair is on the way to Switch. A release date hasn’t been shared just yet, it will be available “in the near future”. Further information will be shared soon.
If the name NOVECT sounds familiar, that’s because the developer previously worked on The House in Fata Morgana. This title is said to be “a tongue-in-cheek, but emotional look at the online interactions between an indie game developer and fans”.
Here’s some additional information:
More than two years after the initial announcement and numerous delays later, Toy Soldiers HD has finally released on Switch. This was unexpected and it seems to have even taken developer Accelerate Games by surprise.
When we last heard about the Switch version, it had been delayed indefinitely again. Accelerate Games pointed to an issue in which “the game’s software is not communicating properly with the consumer version of the console when in multiplayer mode.” Presumably this problem has now been addressed.
Nintendo has updated the Japanese release schedule on its platforms for the week of January 12, 2023. Here’s a look at the upcoming digital download schedule:
neko.works has announced that Light Fairytale Episode 3, the latest addition to its RPG series, is on the way to Switch. The project is expected to wrap up development in Q3 2023 with the game heading to Nintendo’s console after that.
Light Fairytale Episode 1 made it to Switch in April 2022. It was followed by the second episode last August.
Nintendo and Intelligent Systems are kicking off the new year with the latest update for Fire Emblem Heroes. This will be going live on January 9 in North America and January 10 in Europe.
The update features new skills for a Legendary and Mythic Hero, new weapons to refine, and more. Aside from content additions, some changes are being implemented as well.
The patch notes for the Fire Emblem Heroes version 7.1.0 update are as follows:
The 2D pixel-art style action game Virtua Unlimited Project is on the way to Switch, publisher Neverland Entertainment and developer Virtua Ride System have announced. A release date has not yet been determined.
Virtua Unlimited Project takes place in a world that belongs to Vtubers active in cyberspace. Players take on the role of Aizawa Kana, who enters a NEO Babylon world and faces off against Vtubers capable of different superpowers.
Original (12/21): The Switch version of DNF Duel, which was only just announced this month, already has a release date. Publisher Nexon along with developers Neople, Arc System Works, and Eighting confirmed that the fighter will be ready to go on April 20, 2023.
It was also announced that a new season pass is in the pipeline which will bring about five new DLC characters, which includes Spectre. Presumably this content will be offered on Switch.
