Amiibo

There will be two versions of Mario Party 10 at launch – the standard game, and a bundle containing the new Mario amiibo. Strangely, we’re now hearing that the Mario figure will be exclusive to the bundle at launch.

A notice on Amazon’s product page states, “For a limited time, the only way to play with the Mario Party Mario amiibo included!”

We’re not sure how long that “limited” window is. But at least to start out, you’ll need to pick up the bundle if you want to get your hands on the new Mario amiibo. Pre-orders are already sold out on Amazon, so that’s one retailer option already gone.

Update: Bowser and Sonic are now sold out!

Most of the wave three amiibo are pretty much sold out across retailers online. There are a couple of figures that can currently be pre-ordered on Amazon, however. Bowser and Sonic are both in stock as of this moment – you can find both here.

There are some older amiibo that are in stock right now as well. These include Peach, Zelda, Diddy Kong, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Luigi, Mario, Pikachu, Samus, and Yoshi.

Nintendo UK has now made the next wave of amiibo available for pre-order on the Nintendo Official UK store.

If any of the other amiibo are any indication I am sure this wave will sell out pretty quickly, especially for the most sought after characters.

It is unclear at this time when this will be available in other areas, stay tuned for additional updates as we get them.

Keeping track of amiibo launches can be tricky. Release dates are far from exact, so it can be tough to judge when new amiibo are coming to stores.

In the case of GameStop, the latest amiibo will be distributed in waves. Bowser is coming on February 6, followed by Sheik, Shulk, Toon Link, Ike, and King Dedede on February 13. Mega Man and Sonic close things out on February 20.

It should be noted that GameStop’s dates are estimated – meaning figures could technically arrive a bit sooner and later. Once a store receives stock, they can sell it immediately. This may very well be the case with other retailers as well.

Update: Gone!

The Pit amiibo is back in stock once again over at GameStop. If you’re interested, you can place an order here. We’ll let you know if Pit sells out again.

200,000 amiibo figures have been sold in France, Nintendo has announced. That figure accounts for all sales since the product line launched in late November.

amiibo has been extremely successful in other territories as well. For instance, Nintendo confirmed earlier this month that nearly 2.6 million figures have been sold in the U.S. thus far.
