Details of two new characters for Dragon Ball: The Breakers have surfaced as part of a TGS presentation. The first, Majin Buu, will be a Raider in the game, and the second, The Farmer, will be a Survivor. Both were shown off in a new trailer, which interested players can see below:

Bandai Namco has just announced that the physical version of Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival will unfortunately be experiencing a delay. The title will now release physically on October 7.

This delay is being caused by supply chain complications. Thankfully, this will not be affecting the digital release of the title, which is still set to launch on September 23.

SD Gundam Battle Alliance DLC season pass

Bandai Namco has come out with a post-launch trailer for SD Gundam Battle Alliance that provides a look at the game’s season pass.

Players already have access to the first pack, Unit and Scenario Pack #1: Legend & Succession”. Unit and Scenario Pack #2: Knights of Moon & Light and Unit and Scenario Pack #3: Flash & Rebirth will follow this year.

Following its announcement yesterday, Bandai Namco has shared more details for Tales of Symphonia Remastered, their upcoming rerelease of the GameCube classic. Most notably, they’ve opened a website for the game, which provides some new information on how the game will run.

On Switch, Tales of Symphonia Remastered will run at 1080p docked and 720p in handheld mode, which isn’t too surprising. Slightly more interesting is that the game will run at 30 FPS across all platforms. While this makes a relative amount of sense for the Switch, it’s somewhat surprising that other platform versions won’t run at a higher frame-rate.

Tales of Symphonia Remastered Chosen Edition

Following the reveal of Tales of Symphonia Remastered earlier today, we also know that a special version will be available in the form of the Chosen Edition.

Aside from the title itself, fans will be given a couple of extra goodies. An exclusive metalcase, art prints, and stickers of characters from the game are included.

Tales of Symphonia Remastered

Bandai Namco has announced that Tales of Symphonia Remastered is coming to Switch. It will launch in early 2023.

Tales of Symphonia originally appeared on GameCube. Bandai Namco did create a remaster for other consoles later on, but not on Nintendo platforms.

SD Gundam Battle Alliance review

System: Switch
Release Date: August 25, 2022
Developer: Artdink
Publisher: Bandai Namco

The SD (Super Deformed) Gundam spinoff franchise has never achieved the same renown as its parent franchise outside of Japan – where at one point it actually eclipsed the popularity of the main franchise in terms of sales for a brief time – but has nonetheless managed to establish itself as a presence in its own right over the years, and has spawned several video games. SD Gundam Battle Alliance marks the third SD Gundam title to release on the Switch, but the first to release on the console in the west. Was it worth the wait?

Pac-Man World Re-Pac review

System: Switch
Release Date: August 26, 2022
Developer: Bandai Namco / NOW Production
Publisher: Bandai Namco

It’s not a stretch to say that almost everyone who plays video games is at least aware of Pac-Man; the puck-shaped pellet muncher is perhaps one of the most iconic gaming protagonists of all time. So, while it shouldn’t be a surprise that of course he featured in his own series of 3D platformers in the late 90’s and early 2000s – those games were a dime a dozen back then – it was a bit of a left-field announcement when Bandai Namco revealed that the original Pac-Man World would be getting a remake. It’s a solid 3D adventure that has its fans, sure, but it didn’t leave a substantial impact on the genre in the same way that Mario, Crash and Spyro did. Sometimes, though, a game doesn’t need to innovate to be a good time, and Pac-Man World Re-Pac is a perfect example of how tight, responsive platforming and a dollop of arcade-fueled nostalgia can be a timeless, satisfying combination.
