Dragon Ball FighterZ - Master Roshi

Thanks to Japanese outlet V Jump, we now have a release date for Master Roshi in Dragon Ball FighterZ. The DLC character will be added to the game on September 18. If you have FighterZ Pass 3, you can get early access on September 16.

Here’s some footage showing Master Roshi:

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 - Road to Boruto

Bandai Namco is hosting one of its biggest sales yet on the Switch eShop. Games like Mr. Driller DrillLand and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – Road to Boruto, and on top of that, some titles have their biggest discounts yet.

Here’s the full lineup:

Jump Force Deluxe Edition

System: Switch
Release date: August 28, 2020
Developer: Spike Chunsoft
Publisher: Bandai Namco

Having initially released in 2019 on other platforms, Jump Force would have been one of Bandai Namco’s last games that I figured would get ported to the Switch. Given its massive and almost realistic approach to anime characters that had conflicting art styles, when it was announced one had to wonder how a game with the graphics, intensity, and speed would even be able to properly run. Jump Force also initially felt like a step back from the previous celebration of iconic anime franchises in J-Stars Victory VS, as Jump Force not only had a smaller roster at launch, but from fewer franchises represented. Despite this, however, over a year and a half later, Jump Force Deluxe Edition on Switch brings with it the entire character roster including plenty of DLC for one unified package.

Kamen Rider: Memory of Heroez

Bandai Namco has issued a second character gameplay video for Kamen Rider: Memory of Heroez, this time featuring Kamen Rider OOO. Check it out below.

Kamen Rider: Memory of Heroez launches for Switch on October 29 in Japan and Southeast Asia. We have the previous gameplay video featuring Kamen Rider Zero-One here.

Bandai Namco has prepared a new One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 trailer to show off X Drake, one of the game’s upcoming DLC characters. Watch it below.

X Drake, along with Killer and an additional character, will be featured in the second DLC character pack for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 this fall.

.hack//G.U Last Recode

Bandai Namco, along with CyberConnect2, released .hack//G.U. Last Recode back in 2017. It’s a remastered version of the action RPG from the PlayStation 2 era. A number of fans have expressed interest in a Switch version, but it’s not yet happened due to some resistance from Bandai Namco.

CyberConnect2 CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama addressed the possibility of a Switch port as part of a fan Q&A. He explained that the company has made multiple proposals, though Bandai Namco hasn’t given the green light since “it’s hard to predict the cost of porting and the sales prospects.” Matsuyama encourages those that want to see it happen contact Bandai Namco and relay their interest, stating that “they value fans’ feedback the most.”

Matsuyama’s full words:

Dragon Ball FighterZ

Dragon Ball FighterZ is taking action against rage quitters. According to an in-game notice, players “who deliberately disconnect during online matches” will be subject to a temporary ban, which lasts about a week. Those that are repeatedly doing so may face a permanent ban.
