In an unexpected move, it seems like the Anniversary Edition of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has just been made available to players via the Switch eShop.

While the game had previously been rumored to come to Switch, with a rating for it popping up recently in both Europe and Taiwan, this is still a bit of a sudden release. Regardless, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition seems to be currently available for purchase in all regions, with the option for players to either upgrade from an existing version of the game or purchase a bundle with the base game and Anniversary content both included.

Quake update 1.6 Threewave Capture the Flag

A new 1.6 update has gone live for the original Quake on Switch, and it includes the Threewave Capture the Flag mod.

The mode maintains the mechanic of protecting your flag, stealing the enemy’s, and returning it to your own flag to score a point. However, power-up runes come into play to mix up the action. This version of Quake also includes an improved flag status and the maps have been visually updated.

Doom Eternal Collector's Edition Switch

Limited Run Games announced last month that it’s planning a physical release for Doom Eternal on Switch, and has now shared further details – including news about collector’s editions.

Fans will be able to choose between four versions in total. The lineup includes a standard edition, Steelbook Edition, Special Edition, and Ultimate Edition. The Special Edition features the steelbook as well as a metal keychain, replica silver gate key, a poster, and more. The Ultimate Edition contains offerings from the Classic Edition plus vinyl cover art prints, am mini shotgun replica, poster with frame, and more.

Limited Run Games has offered a few different Doom titles on Switch in physical format, and the tradition continues with Doom Eternal. Plans for a boxed edition were just announced just the company’s digital showcase.

We’ve actually come full circle with Doom Eternal. When the title was first announced, there were plans for a retail launch. However, the Switch version ended up being delayed, and the physical version was scrapped. Limited Run Games has now come through with plans for a boxed version.

Doom Arrival

New content is now available for the Switch versions of Doom and Doom II, as both titles have received the Arrival add-on. Players can initiate the download on the main menu.

Arrival acts as an 11-level episode replacement pack. It was made by Pavera and features music by Doom community alum AD_79. Collaborated elements with other notable names in the modding scene are also included.

Quake Copper

A few days ago, the re-release of Quake on Switch received a new Copper add-on. It can be accessed in the main menu.
