We are just one day away from the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Switch. When you buy the game tomorrow, you will have to download a day one patch for the game. There aren’t any official patch notes out for that patch yet, but according to Vooks, the patch will enable to Switch’s video capture feature to work with the game.

Monster Hunter XX received a similar patch yesterday, making Skyrim only the second non-Nintendo game on the Switch that gets this feature.

Digital Foundry is back with a new Switch technical analysis. Doom, which pushes the system to its max, is one very interesting title to look at.

It’s to be expected, but Doom’s visual quality has dropped on Switch. It has an adaptive resolution, with it usually sitting at around 600p when docked. The depth-of-field buffer and alpha effects appear to be rendered at a quarter resolution. Temporal anti-aliasing can make the action look a bit blurry on the big screen.

If you’ve purchased Doom on Switch today, you should be able to have your game at version 1.1. Bethesda prepared a day-one update.

The patch includes Multiplayer functionality, additional game fixes, and audio for supported languages other than English. The update should clock in at around 8GB.
