Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan was asked about the possibility of bringing the shooter to Switch last year. At the time, he explained that there would be some challenges in making that happen.
A year later, senior game producer Matthew Hawley has also been asked as to whether or not we could see Overwatch on Nintendo’s console one day. Hawley acknowledged the popularity of the system, but like Kaplan, noted that challenges would be involved. He did start out by saying that it’s something the team is constantly evaluating.

Hearthstone for Switch is a topic that seems to come up every so often. Over the past year or so, Blizzard has been asked about the possibility a few times. The responses have varied slightly, but ultimately the answer given is that there aren’t any plans.
Hearthstone game director Ben Brode reiterated as such during an interview at PAX East 2018 this past weekend. After acknowledging that it’s “possible,” Brode quickly added that the team doesn’t “have any plans to do that.” He indicated that fans can play on mobile or tablets despite being a “big fan” of Switch himself.

Rumor: Diablo 3 port for Nintendo Switch is in development, according to Eurogamer
Posted on 6 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in Rumors, Switch | 0 comments
A possible port of Diablo 3 on Nintendo Switch has been the source of much speculation lately. Some fans interpreted a certain tweet by Blizzard as a tease for a Switch port of Diablo, but Blizzard quickly clarified that that wasn’t their intention and that they had “nothing to announce”.
Today, Eurogamer has come forward with a report, claiming that Diablo 3 for Switch is in the works after all, according to their sources. Any further details were not disclosed, such as a release date or whether or not this port would include the Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions.
As always, take reports like this with a grain of salt. Eurogamer has been spot-on with several of their reports, but they weren’t always right. We will just have to wait and see if anything comes of this.

Blizzard had fans speculating about the possibility of Diablo making its way to Switch this week due to a tweet. A Diablo light was shown turning on and off in a brief video, which some interpreted as a tease.
However, that wasn’t actually the case. Blizzard has now commented on the situation officially and has stated that the tweet was intended to be “a fun community engagement piece.”
Hearthstone designer says there are no plans for a Switch version

In the past, Blizzard has sounded open to the idea of having Hearthstone on Switch. Last April for example, senior game designer Mike Donais said that “it’s a good discussion worth having.”
Unfortunately, at least for now, Blizzard is ruling out a Switch version of Hearthstone. When asked about rumors about it crossing over to Nintendo’s platform, game designer Dean Ayala simply stated: “There are no plans to move Hearthstone to the Nintendo Switch.”
Ayala could be playing coy, but the more probable answer is that it’s just not happening.

Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan noted last month that Blizzard is open to bringing the shooter to Switch, though doing so would be “very challenging”. Express followed up with Kaplan and pushed further about the possibility of it happening.
Kaplan pointed to a couple of challenges in porting Overwatch to Switch. First, the team “would have to revisit performance”. A Switch version would also require Blizzard to support another platform with patches alongside the other systems. Kaplan did reiterate that Blizzard is “very open-minded about what platforms we could be on.”

Hearthstone, Blizzard’s popular collectible card game, has stayed on mobile and PC since its launch a few years ago. With Switch out on the market, fans are wondering if it could eventually land on the new console.
Express Online did ask Hearthstone senior game designer Mike Donais about the possibility. “I personally haven’t talked about it but I’m more focused on card design,” he said. “Hearthstone is available on iPads and phones, so it’s a good discussion worth having.”
Director Jeff Kaplan recently said in a Reddit AMA that bringing Hearthstone to Switch would be “very challenging”. However, he also noted that the team is “always open minded about exploring possible platforms.”

Blizzard still has some interest in making StarCraft: Ghost

StarCraft: Ghost went through a few different delays before Blizzard put the game on hold about a decade ago. But even after such a lengthy period of time, the company still seems interested in returning to the project “some day”.
VideoGamer spoke with Blizzard producer Alex Mayberry about StarCraft: Ghost, and was told that “the idea is still perfectly viable.” Still, the project probably won’t be revisited “any time soon.”
