Following a leak not too long ago involving an Overwatch Switch case, the game itself has apparently now been confirmed.

Kotaku has a new report that mentions the case as well as a separate European retailer leak that lists an October 18 release. The site believes this should translate to a date around October 15 for North America. Additionally, Kotaku writes that it has “confirmed its veracity with two of our own sources.”

Original: Overwatch isn’t on Switch – at least not right now. But with a new product listing on Amazon, fans are starting to hope that a release is on the horizon.

A new Overwatch Switch case popped up on Amazon today. The accessory, which is made by PowerA, has been licensed officially by Nintendo and Blizzard.

As for what it offers, here’s the full rundown:

Diablo III Eternal Collection

Blizzard will be kicking off Season 18 in Diablo III next week across all platforms, the company has announced. It will be going live for Switch on August 23 alongside a new patch.

While Season 18 is live, players will benefit from the Power of the Triune, which will periodically summon circles around the battlefield that provide one of three random buffs:

GameCube nearly got a new StarCraft title before the entire project was scrapped. Blizzard had been working on StarCraft: Ghost for a couple of years, but the project just never came together.

In an interview with VG247, Blizzard co-founder Mike Morhaime spoke about having to cancel the third-person action game. Although it was a difficult decision, the move freed up team resources and ensured that other titles inside the company could thrive.

Diablo III: Eternal Collection

Blizzard finally returned to Nintendo platforms last year with Diablo III: Eternal Collection. Not only that, but the game even has a unique collaboration with Zelda-inspired content.

Speaking with GamesBeat, Blizzard head J. Allen Brack was asked about what it was like working with Nintendo, and how Diablo III turned out on Switch. Brack shared the following:

Diablo III: Eternal Collection players can look forward to a big update for the game. Blizzard is introducing Season 16, featuring a brand-new buff, new rewards, improvements, and more.

Diablo III Eternal Collection

In the past, Diablo III has hosted a Darkening of Tristram event to celebrate the anniversary of the original Doom. It’s back up and running once again – now for the first time on Switch.

Throughout January, players can receive certain rewards and experience the original Diablo levels. We have full details on the event below.

At BlizzCon last weekend, Eurogamer spoke with Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan. One of the questions asked concerened the possibility of bringing the game to Switch. While there still isn’t really any news either way, Kaplan did say the team is “very open-minded”.

Diablo III Eternal Collection

Digital Foundry published a new tech analysis for Diablo III – Eternal Collection on Switch today. We learn more about the game’s resolution, frame rate, and more.

Diablo III’s final docked resolution mostly sits at 900p. This can decrease though, with Digital Foundry recording 1344×756 – usually during high action with many effects. Portable resolution tends to sit at the native 720p, but it can drop to 960×540.
