Mario Golf: Super Rush giving Shy Guy colors as Ranked Match reward
Posted on 3 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Mario Golf: Super Rush is kicking off March with a new reward, with players now being able to unlock new colors for Shy Guy.
The new colors are pretty straightforward and easy to obtain. Over the next month, players simply need to hit the rank of A- or above in the online Ranked Match mode by earning points. Nintendo provides points by playing online matches, doing well, and defeating higher ranked opponents. The Shy Guy colors can then be used once unlocked by accessing the screen in Mario Golf: Super Rush, hovering over the character, and hitting the “L” button to swap variations.

Mario Golf: Super Rush is offering up a new reward for its Ranked Match mode, and players can earn a new outfit for Luigi from his look in NES Open Tournament Golf.

Points can be accumulated by playing matches online in Ranked Match, doing well against others, and taking down higher ranked opponents. Once the NES Open Tournament Golf outfit has been unlocked, it can be used by going to the select screen in Mario Golf: Super Rush, hovering over Luigi, and pressing the “L” button in order to swap outfits.

It’s a new month, and now that Mario Golf: Super Rush has reset its Ranked Match for January 2022, players can get their hands on a new reward based on Mario’s classic look in NES Open Tournament Golf.
Just like with previous events, there’s not a whole lot involved with the unlock process. Players only need to reach the rank of A- or above within the next month. This can be done by playing matches online in Ranked Match, playing well against others, and defeating higher ranked opponents. The NES Open Tournament Golf outfit can be selected once unlocked by going to the select screen in Mario Golf: Super Rush, hovering over the character, and hitting the “L” button to swap outfits.

Mario Golf: Super Rush and the “free updates” model
Posted on 3 years ago by Luiz in Features, Switch, Videos | 0 comments
I had a good time playing Mario Golf: Super Rush earlier this year when the game launched. New modes such as Speed Golf and Battle Golf were nice additions, particularly for multiplayer matches. But after a while, I saw myself rapidly drifting away from the game and simply waiting for more updates as Nintendo promised.
I must confess that now, after all the updates, I feel a little disappointed with the game in general, and that’s what I talk about in the video below. I go over how the “free updates” model that Nintendo has been using for a while now may actually be doing more bad than good for the games developed by Camelot. You can watch the full video down below and feel free to share your experience with the game.
