Capcom

Capcom has provided the final boxart for Resident Evil Revelations Collection. We have it above.

To compare, this was the original, tentative version:

After a year-long wait, Monster Hunter Stories finally arrived in North American and Europe yesterday. Take a look at a bunch of footage below.

Amazon offered “Rider Set” DLC with pre-orders of Monster Hunter Stories. GameStop is doing something similar.

If you buy Monster Hunter Stories at GameStop, you’ll receive the “Hero Set” DLC. Rathalos, Lagicrus, Brachydios, and Qurupeco are included. The offer is valid in-store and online.

According to a new report from Ace Securities, Monster Hunter XX for Switch has shipped over 300,000 copies across Asia.

The download ratio is said to be high in Japan. Also, Capcom shipped more than 200,000 units in Japan alone.

Of course, shipped differs from sold. Media Create’s last official figure through September 3 is just over 110,000 copies. However, that number does not account for eShop sales.

Monster Hunter Stories

Nintendo published a launch trailer for Monster Hunter Stories, available today in North America and Europe. Watch it below.

System: 3DS
Release date: September 8, 2017
Developer: Capcom / Marvelous
Publisher: Nintendo

To be quite frank, Monster Hunter Stories came as a surprise to me. I didn’t look too much into what the game was before trying it out, because with all my previous Monster Hunter experience I should be fine, right? Upon starting the game, I only knew fragments of information from the announcement trailer. But once my time with Monster Hunter Stories began, the game subverted my expectations, and it became clear that this wasn’t such a bad thing.

Nintendo has uploaded a new Monster Hunter Stories trailer to promote the international release of the game. Monster Hunter Stories is available tomorrow on the 3DS.

Watch the video below.

Capcom opened the official Switch website for Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 today. File sizes for both games are included on the page.

First up, Resident Evil Revelations requires 13GB of free space. Resident Evil Revelations 2 doubles that at 26GB. With the second game, since it won’t fit within Switch’s internal memory, a separate microSD card will be needed if you intend to purchase the game.

Capcom is releasing Resident Evil Revelations Collection on Switch later this year. Japan is getting something similar, but also planned is a standalone retail version of the first entry as well.

Meanwhile, below are screenshots of both games on Switch:

Following several other developers and publishers, Capcom has now also revealed its lineup of games for the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, which starts in two weeks (thanks to Gematsu for the translation). Capcom isn’t bringing a whole lot of games in general, and only three that are on Nintendo systems – Monster Hunter Stories, to showcase its 1.2 update, and both Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil Revelations 2 on Switch, all of which will be playable on the show floor.
