After initially showing it at the Ace Attorney 15th anniversary event in Japan yesterday, Capcom has uploaded a new trailer for The Great Ace Attorney 2. We’ve attached it below.

Just a few days ago, Resident Evil 7 director Koshi Nakanishi spoke about Switch and how he finds it to be “unique hardware”. Now producer Masachika Kawata has weighed in as well.

Daily Express asked Kawata if Resident Evil will be on Switch. He unfortunately said there are “no plans at the moment”, but also commented on the hardware’s uniqueness much like Nakanishi.

Kawata said:

“I think it’s a very unique piece of hardware. I’m looking forward to the possibilities of the system itself, but we have no plans at the moment regarding Resident Evil on Switch.”

When Capcom announced The Great Ace Attorney 2 a few months ago, the company didn’t actually confirm any platform for the game. That changed during a 15th anniversary event held in Japan a few hours ago. A new trailer debuted, and it’s now confirmed that The Great Ace Attorney 2 will be exclusively on 3DS.

The video isn’t online just yet. However, we should be seeing it online very soon.

IGN has a new interview up with Street Fighter series producer Yoshinori Ono. On the site, Ono shares several comments about Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers. Ono talked about why Capcom decided to bring that game to Switch, including two art styles, how the team is approaching game balance, when it’ll be released (potentially pretty soon), and mix of older and younger staffers working on the project.

Head on below for notable excerpts from IGN’s interview. The site’s full article is located here.

Resident Evil 7 director Koshi Nakanishi was asked for his thoughts about Switch in an interview with Gamereactor. He told the site:

“As an industry member, I had the opportunity to try Nintendo Switch before the presentation. I think it’s unique hardware and I’ll explore its possibilities. I’ve always been a fan of Nintendo.”

Nakanishi is leaving the door open to the possibility of working with Switch in the future. We’ll just have to wait and see if he ends up creating any projects for it.

Monster Hunter XX producer Shintaro Kojima and general deputy manager Satoshi Inoue star in another Monster Hunter XX video from Capcom. This time, the Alchemy Style and Beast Hunting Style for Prowlers is shown. Check out the video below.

The latest episode of Capcom TV just wrapped up, and Monster Hunter XX was once again heavily featured. Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima first stopped by to show off Uranometria, the weapon he designed for the game. He also played through the title, and there was a fight with Lao-Shan Lung.

Here’s the full recording:

The Monster Hunter series is no stranger to collaborations. Even the latest entry, Monster Hunter XX, already has several partnerships announced.

The latest collaboration is for the Long Sword named Uranometria. It’s an original design from mangaka Hiro Mashima, the creator of Fairy Tail. The sword blade is drawn with a sparking sky of stars, and the scabbard’s silhouette will look like an ancient key.

During the latest episode of Capcom TV, Monster Hunter XX gameplay will be shown that uses the new weapon. Mashima will also be appearing as a guest.

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers will allow players to battle against each other online. Capcom shared the news during the Treehouse Live event a couple of days ago, which seemed to have gone mostly unnoticed. Online play is something that most would expect, but it wasn’t actually mentioned in the original announcement. It’s nice to have the confirmation in any case!

Thanks to Mike for the tip.

We have some more off-screen footage of Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, thanks to Nintendo World Report. You can watch the footage below.
