Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition to include 13 post-game dungeons

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will feature 13 newly-added post-game dungeons, Square Enix has announced.
These extra areas, which are more difficult than normal, offer new equipment item recipes that were not included in the original game. Players will be able to obtain new accessories, weapons, and armor. Also new is the ability to use “Crystal Memories” in these dungeons, which allow players to use moves previously unique to bosses.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition is introducing a “Mimic” feature. With it, your character can take on the form of different people you meet on your journey. Square Enix has now introduced DLC that will involve characters from previous entries in the series.

Square Enix shared the latest trailer for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition. In the video, we get a first look at a special “Lite” version.
The Lite version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition is expected on August 28. You’ll be able to try out the first three dungeons with up to four friends in online play. Additionally, you’ll be able to play with those that have the full game. Save data can be carried over as well. If the person hosting the game purchased the full version, it’ll actually be possible to play through all thirteen dungeons with them.

Last night, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition is launching in Japan on August 27. Just as expected, fans in the west will be getting it around the same time – actually, on the same day. Square Enix has confirmed that we’ll be seeing Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition in North America and Europe on August 27.
It currently appears that the game will have a digital-only release overseas. However, Japan will be receiving a physical version. Collectors can import a copy from Play-Asia here.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition was announced back in September 2018, but the game still has yet to release. Most recently, Square Enix announced a delay last December, pushing the title to this summer. We now have a new release date.
In Japan, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition is slated for August 27. That should translate to August 25 or August 28 in the west.

Square Enix has delayed Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition for a second time. The GameCube re-release for Switch will now launch in Summer 2020.
Originally, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition was on track for this year. Square Enix then ended up announcing a new release date of January 23, 2020.
