GameStop once again has the Super NES Classic Edition in stock. If you’d like to place an order, you can do so here. The SNES Classic Edition has slowly started to become more widely available, so we’re hoping this will last for more than a few minutes.

Also, while we generally don’t post about these kinds of refurbished products, GameStop is selling refurbished NES Classic Edition units here. Just keep in mind they aren’t new – they’ve been cleaned up from those who owned them previously.

Following today’s announcement, GameStop has opened pre-orders for the New 2DS XL Pikachu Edition. You can reserve it here.

The New 2DS XL Pikachu Edition launches on January 26. Pokemon Crystal hits the 3DS Virtual Console on the same day.

For the nine-week holiday period ended December 30, GameStop sales increased 10.6% year-over-year to $2.77 billion. A big reason for that? Switch.

GameStop interim CEO Dan DeMatteo said in a statement that Nintendo’s console helped drive the retailer’s sales. Switch, along with the Xbox One, led to a rise in hardware sales by 38.3%. New game sales were also up 7.3% year-over-year, thanks to Switch games and Call of Duty: WWII. Switch was also a major factor in a 33.7% increase in accessory sales.

GameStop has started opening pre-orders for the new games announced during today’s Nintendo Direct Mini. You can find everything here. Note that some of the prices still need to be adjusted, such as Dark Souls: Remastered.

Nintendo Switch

Listings for a ton of unknown Switch titles popped up on Amazon about two weeks ago. Shortly after they were discovered, each one was removed. All of the listings had generic names and an image stating that they were announced at a Switch event.

Now we’re seeing something similar with GameStop. This week, six new SKUs were located within the retailer’s internal system. They’re all labeled “Available SKU”. It doesn’t seem that any of these games can be pre-ordered at the moment.

GameStop loves its bundles, so it’s no surprise to see a couple of new options in this area for the Super NES Classic Edition. At the moment, you can nab the hardware along with the SNES YoK Wireless Controller. It comes in both red and blue options.

GameStop reported its Q3 financial results this week. The retailer said that Switch has experienced “continued momentum” and help drive an 8.8% increase in hardware sales last quarter. Additional details about the impact of Switch were shared during a financial call.

According to CFO Rob Lloyd, GameStop still has the “market leading share on Switch and the highest attaching the industry.” Additionally, “GameStop has leading Switch hardware and software market share in the U.S. and in most of our international markets.”
